Per 247 it looks like Ricky is going to visit both of these schools and make a choice within the next week with Fall enrollment quickly coming to an end.

Just saw that and was a little surprised. I would have to think Florida is the choice here.

With us already having Storey in the same class I can't see Bielema wanting to take him if the reason he left USC was for early playing time. But I guess more competition isn't a bad thing.

Some have said on other sites that UF doesn't want him. So conflicting reports out there. UF could certainly use a talented QB, head cases not wanted though.

Yes, but not released to transfer to Alabama.
REC working in background to get that dropped I imagine though.

ETA: Don't know why Florida wouldn't want him though (if that's true.) They are earlier in the rebuild than we are.

He won't come to Alabama, if memory serves he and/or his family was not very fond of Kiffin.

gotta be Florida. He would do really well under Coach Mac, too.

He was committed to Alabama when Doug Nussmeier was OC. When Nuss left, Town didn't stay committed too much longer. Nuss is now the OC at Florida.

He's not coming to Alabama. That ship has sailed. And I think Alabama ended up okay with another California QB in the 2015 class, Blake Barnett.

sds

he former four-star quarterback will play in a pro-style offense, and Arkansas and Florida are reportedly in the running to land the coveted signal caller. Town has a previous relationship with Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, but it’s unknown if the Gators are actually pursuing the quarterback. Arkansas’ offense would also be a nice fit for Town’s strengths. Per Town’s USC release, the only SEC school he can’t consider is Alabama.
