Anyone realize that if A&M pulls Brown they will have #'s 1-3 on the LSR for next year - major reshuffling will be needed to change that by Ketch. Brown won't be there this weekend though...

I wouldn't put any stock in the LSR. Ketch has no talent evaluation skills. The 247 top 3 are Paris, Brown, and Scott. That's probably about right. It's not our coaches evals (we actually have another player at the very top that is much further down) but it's pretty reasonable. The fact is, the top 10 is very strong this year and many of those kids are DBs.

So while I think everyone wants Paris and Brown, I'm less worried about scooping those guys as there are tons of DBs. There are even a few elite guys in LA this year that LSU may pass on if they were to take a few of the TX kids. We'd be hard pressed not to have an absolutely stellar DB class. LB on the other hand is thin after the top 4-5 and we appear poised to skim 3 off the very top. And there are absolutely no DTs so getting the trio in 2013 was huge.

You're right, no one is going to have a hard time signing talented DBs next year. Except maybe the Longhorns

eh, honestly that depends. If they keep going all in on guys they have no shot on (Paris) they are going to get screwed because the rest of the class will commit elsewhere and then it's an uphill battle to pull them from TCU or OU or even Baylor.

It's embarrassing how badly they miscalculated 2013. They'll tell you they didn't but they are shopping around for guys right now and pulling "hidden gems" from Baylor and the like. They are trying to act like an alpha when the truth is, right now, in the recruiting world, they are a beta. They haven't had a single recruiting win over a major program since before this season started. And I remember this schtick well because it's how RC buried our roster in the last 90s.

We've already got two of the top 5 DBs in the state committed. If we don't get Paris or Brown (and I think we will get one of them) it's not a big deal.

Dont get any hopes up Aggie, Noil is easily a 100% lock as long as Frank Wilson is here. We have gone all in for Fournette not even taking a RB this class so he's ours, sorry. Willis is a very strong lean our way. Would be a complete shock if any of those 3 went anywhere else.

Robinson is the LA kid to watch out for, he likes bama as much as LSU

LF is a RB, Bama ALWAYS has a shot trust me...if Burns left for FSU then I'd say yeah LSU lock, but no dice as long as he's on Bama's staff

You guys have stockpiled at RB, we didn't even recruit a RB this class. Fournette will be at LSU; Hill, Blue and Hilliard are all draft eligible next year. We have gone all in and he knows that, he'll be at LSU.

And did you know he has repeatedly said he has no interest in Bama?

Paris might be one of the worst kept secrets in TX for us. He's supposed to commit in less than 2 months time, should be favorable for us.

With Brown, if his sister does indeed come here, tough to see him going to A&M.

Willis and his mom hate bama and their staff.

Saban better hope lsu backs off someone so he can get his token lsu backburner recruit next year

aTm is a complete non factor. Ask Corey Thompson and fobbs.

Yea, we said the exact same thing last year at this time, and then Tenpenny committed to Alabama in the spring.

Although the situations are different(Tenpenny didn't like Petrino), Nick Saban gets these RB's to believe they'll get carries there no matter what.

Situations are very different.

Noil, Fournette, and Willis have formed a unique bond. similar to Freak, Landry, and Hilliard in 11.

Noil is Franks relative or some shite like that. Short of hiring Frank Wilson or him leaving for the NFL no one has a shot.

Willis states he doesn't like bama, but I have hard time buying it.

Fournette is the wild card, but frank seems to have the edge on his mentor Burns on this one ATM.

yea, I would consider LSU recruiting La kids a little bit "different" than Arkansas' recruiting

I agree with this

Initially I thought aTm's best shot was either Quinn or Jacory Washington. Washington has already committed to LSU. I think the only prospect aTm has a prayer for is Quinn, but both his parents went to LSU, he has a sister at LSU right now and a friend committed to play baseball at LSU. That will be a tough tough task getting him out La. Not to mention his dad inferred Quinn was gonna shut it down and commit after he got his LSU offer, but they have since backed off and decided to let it play out. It's obvious where that family's heart is.

And to the idiots talking about RSJ, what city in Louisiana does RSJ live in?

Yeah, one school is LSU, the other is Arkansas.

Another would be, he's an instate kid in a state that usually sends top prospects to LSU.

The situations are VERY different

LSU was RSJ's #2 when he committed to Texas. That, and the fact that we were recruiting him lights out for Football and Basketball, many thought we had a legit shot.

You're grouping the idiots of the fan base and making it out like the entire fan base is like that. Think again.
