Jamal adams is a top 10 pick easy and the best safety in the draft...as a junior no less. All I was saying is that lsu came out with the better player between the two. If you wish to argue that hootie frickin jones is a better player than jamal adams then you're an idiot. Period.

There is a reason Philips committed to OU in the first place. Bama passed on him in the summer, when they could have gotten his commitment. A good player, but there is a reason Bama said no thanks.

Kinda like the hootie jones/jamal adams deal that worked out well for lsu.

Huge pickup for LSU and you got it to turn it into a 5 page thread about Alabama. Thanks for that. Maybe RA your thread and start over.

You just quoted an article saying it wasn't clear where he stood, but now it's "true" that he was dropped down the board. That does nothing but reaffirm that it's speculation.

As always with recruiting, one must have the ability to read between the lines. It's obvious you don't possess that skill so I'll spell it out for you.

Moses commits on October 2nd. A linebacker that Alabama was leading for (and who happened to be on an OV to Alabama the same weekend as Moses) suddenly commits to Oklahoma ten days later.

Also, Bama fans were just arguing that they don't even play the same position

I wasn't aware those "Bama fans" had a say in where Saban decides to play his players.

but now having Moses commit affected Philips' standing.

Absolutely.

You guys need to get on the same page and give this another shot later.

There's no need to melt about it. You just picked up a great player. Why does it matter if Alabama passed on him?

congrats. You guys need that LB depth and Lord knows you needed a win in recruiting given how close to the edge your fanbase is right now

Sadly, our fanbase is always on edge. But this is a huge get for us and hope to see a domino effect from it.

How did Alabama "lose out on a player" they really want when they weren't even recruiting him any more?

Hell, LSU didn't even start pushing for Phillips until Chris Allen committed to Alabama.

LSU beat Alabama out for Jacoby Stevens. We lose out on players all the time. We also have to pass on good players to sign players our staff views as better. Sometimes they go to LSU. Like today

Bruh, you're in a thread announcing LSU just signed the #1 ILB in the country accusing someone else of melting.

The irony is strong.

LSU out-recruited Alabama for his signature. What else would you like for us to say?

And just like LSU and Phillips, Alabama made up for that loss by picking up Daniel Wright and Xavier McKinney.
