You also can't discount the relationship our db coach has with the family after coaching his dad.

At ole miss?

quote:

Before moving to UAB in 1995, Neal served as secondary coach at Mississippi from 1992-94. His 1993 squad led the nation in total defense (234.5 avg.) and ranked third against the pass while allowing the fewest touchdown passes in the country (5). The Rebels finished sixth nationally in pass defense while leading the SEC in 1994.

Yes, coach Neal had a stint at Ole Miss.

ETA: he coached secondary in '93 when Ole Miss led the nation in total defense.

Neal is a badass secondary coach. He's developed some serious talent and I'd love to see what he could do with a kid like Nigel.

That's definitely not me.

One of "us" on here does have a brother that goes to school with him. I will admit that I have seen him around town and quite honestly wasn't that impressed with him physically (sounds Aggie level ghey but put it this way....my wife may bench more than him). But when I finally watched his film I was shocked how he good he was at using leverage and was fearless. He would make the perfect DB in our Defense.

He knows how to use leverage to lay a hit and bring someone down. We would be lucky to land him.

So far this year there is only one recruit I know for sure about. It's not an opinion. It's not a gut feeling. I don't care what he says to media or out in public, or to recruiting blog groupies. Simmons is going to State. WITOUT A DOUBT. Ole Miss has never had a shot at him. Bama will continue to have hope. But he is going to State. No question. Don't know about AJ. Don't know about Knott. Simmons I do. Check what I said previous 2 years with Lewis and Cory Thomas and CJ before that. I won't comment unless I absolutely know. Bank it.

Like they're confined to those specific areas 24 hours a day? Stupid. And I am not any kind of recruiting guru with loads of insider info. I just know about Simmons. I don't care if you believe me. Really doesn't matter. He WILL be at State. I'll ban bet your dumbass. Permanent ban. Plus if he doesn't come to State, I'll let my chihuahua lick peanut butter off your dick.

Scuttlebutt is Oregon is in talks with Mike Nolan for the DC spot. Wonder if a guy with that kind and of panache could close some blue chippers like Knott? Did Sirmon recruit him at USC?

What are the odds that two highly rated DBs in the same year, both from the South are named Nigel? I mean, we aren't in Britain.

I think if Bama gets Shyheim Carter, they don't offer Knott and he goes to State. If we still Carter away, Knott goes to Bama.
