Well why in the frick does Oregon's defense always get shredded?

Neal doesn't coordinate the defense and despite our shitty defensive philosophy he keeps turning out NFL talent. So, you're asking the wrong stupid question.

I think if Bama gets Shyheim Carter, they don't offer Knott

Where the frick are you morons getting that Knott doesn't have an Alabama offer?

BOL's Hank South CB'd him to Alabama back in August and said recently he doesn't see himself changing that pick.

54. 4-star CB Nigel Knott

Height/Weight: 5'11", 175 lbs

High School: Germantown High School (Madison, Mississippi)

247Sports Ranking: No. 6 CB; No. 54 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 95/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Oregon, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida State and LSU

After a couple of commitment-announcement postponements, Nigel Knott is inching closer to making a decision. He has close to 30 reported offers, and one of the schools from the state of Mississippi is hoping to keep him close to home.

Knott is one of those players who defines athleticism. He's shown his worth with speed, leaping ability and agility on and off the football field. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds and recorded a 46.5-inch vertical jump at The Opening.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Knott is an outstanding athlete who uses his quickness, change of direction and recovery speed to be a reliable shutdown defender. He is one of the nation's fastest players, and because of his speed, he rarely gets beaten deep in one-on-one situations.

Along with his coverage skills, Knott is a sound tackler. Because of his athleticism, he has the potential to score starter's minutes early in his college career.

I hope we get the guy, but on the tackling I think unless you've got lots of instances of a guy in general of that size going up against bigger guys its a wait and see deal.

Dont confuse lack of strength with lack of physicality. The reason people love the vertical as a measurable is because of the explosion metric. He explodes into people which makes him a good tackler. He wont be a good one in the SEC until he puts on some size and strength, but most corners out of HS are that way. His issue is raw cover skills. He doesnt know what he is doing. He will RS and be a decent SEC corner with the potential of being an AA. I think he is a future NFL player but I admit that has a lot to do with the fact that the NFL will pick up a kid on potential alone.

Tackling issues, no raw coverage skills and all athleticism makes him perfect at Oregon.
