They slow-played both Lanfear and Aaron Garza for a reason - they were not that excited about them. They never even tried to keep Garza from decommiting. Both Lanfear & Garza were commits to Mack. Strong is doing his own evaluation. Of course, he could be proven to be wrong, but it remains to be seen.

I've mentioned it as a few times on the site since camp, but I think it bares repeating. I really felt like the 6-foot-5.5, 267-pound Lanfear was the best lineman on the Texas campus on Sunday.
There wasn't anything he did during drills where he was noticeably deficient. I thought his body athleticism, footwork, lateral movement, ankle flexibility and punch were all good.
In drills he ran side by side with the other four guys on this list. No disrespect to those guys, but I felt the order of who looked the best was Lanfear and then everyone else

Hey man, the flip was predictable. Hand writing was on the wall when Lanfear got his feelings hurt. What I don't understand is the Aggie euphoria about this guy almost a year before signing day. Well, actually I do - Aggies one-upped Texas on the recruiting scoreboard, sorta.

We took a guy who was committed to you, made him to drop his commitment, and then commit to us. I don't know about you but that's more than a "sorta" on the scorecard that sumlin has dominated strong on

Its just that he didn't want to put up with the expectations from the general. I mean did you see those rules he put on his players?

It's all about the rules. All highly rated recruits in Texas want to live off campus while all mediocre recruits in Texas want to live in dorms, these are facts

I'm sure they do, what with how well recruiting seems to be going for y'all. Quit trying to pretend you aren't getting skull fricked on the recruiting trail. They committed to Mack but honestly what appears to have happened is others - A&M and ULSU in particular - have simply picked clean anyone of value you had left.
You have 7 or so commits. Of them, how many have an offer from A&M, ULSU, or OU? Answer: none. And given that, do you honestly believe you are going to replace anyone with "equal or better talent"
