not shitting on your insider but that would be a huge waste unless Wallace isn't going to do anything and Mosely transfers.

I've been on here before saying that I didn't think we'd go with 2 QBs and this guy is beyond legit. I'm assuming that the assumption is that Moseley is gone after he inevitably doesn't get named the starter and that the staff really doesn't see Wallace as a QB long-term.

If I'm the coaching staff, I take the QB race into the 2nd week of fall camp... that way, Mosely is your backup for 2012 season.

If Frazier is named starter after spring (like cam) and Mosely transfers, that leaves Zeke Pike as one snap away from being the starter.... scary proposition.

Unfortunately, Mosely's tendonitis (or whatever) and Frazier stepping up this spring are making that difficult.

I think Auburn is going to take two QB's. An elite guy and a project guy. Depending on Moseley transferring.

No less scary than Mosely being one snap away from starting, IMO.

Mosely is a good guy if he isn't going to win it let him have his two years of eligibility and transfer.

We also got the walkon from Hoover that has to be > Pike

As much as I hate to say it we just can't like Kiehl get injured/ need to develop Pike and fast.

you can't honestly believe that... don't get me wrong, I don't want Clint Mosely to see another meaningful snap at AU, but he's started games in this league.

Mosely was bad last year.... but remember how bad UFs true frosh QBs were?... and Pike wasn't that highly ranked out of HS as Brissett and Driskel.

Zeke Pike playing meaningful snaps as a TF would be a dumpster fire of epic propotions.

I believe he is trying to overtake Jarrett Pick6 Lee's record.

Their OC didn't help them out either. Were they early enrollee's as well?

And yet probably better than the dumpster fire that stepped foot on the field last year.

At least Zeke has pretty damn good athletic ability. Mosely looks like he goes in slow motion. His throwing motion is shite. He has a weak arm. He makes poor decisions. His awkward run has no speed, quickness, or agility.

Mosely got put into a shitty situation last year. He came in the second half against Fla and went 4/7 for 90 yards. Then he had to start his first game, on the road at LSU, with a horrible offensive line. He bounced back the next week against Ole Miss and had a great game. Yeah, it was Ole Miss, but still, he came right back after getting gang raped by LSU and had a great game. Then uga and bama happened.

I don't know that he's got what it takes to be a starter in this league, but I also don't think he's been given a fair shake by any means, especially with guys like TT's Towel calling him a bitch when TT would have probably been carted off the field with his pants full of shite after taking the hits Moseley took in the LSU game.

I want Frazier as our QB, but I also would much rather have Moseley as 2nd string than have Pike or any of the walkons right now.

Back to cruitin' talk....

Excellent post. With what we had on O, we had no chance of winning any of the LSU, UGA, or Gump games. My biggest concern with Mosley is that he threw a pick 6 in all 3 of those games.

Funny how ppl (including me) have turned on him when they were calling for him to play after the USC game last season.

He will be given a fair shake with Loeffler and has the same opportunity to be the starter. If Mosely is not starting your other question will be answered.

As far as Pike goes I will defer to Loeffler as well. I am sure if Pike really does have the potential our new OC will find it, or expose him as a DE, TE type of player.

Who's fault is that? He didn't win the starting job when given the opportunity. Trotter turns into a headcase, you better be ready to go.

He has been in college for over 2 years when he took over last year. How much time does it take to find that out? He's not going to win the starting job this year. So 3 years isn't enough time to tell?

You have no idea what Pike will look like in the fall. We already know what Mosely brings to the table. There's no doubt in my mind that Zeke's ceiling is significantly hire than Clint's. It just boils down to will he work hard enough to reach it.

And when I say I don't want Pike as the backup, I mean I'd rather have Moseley than Pike today. I don't know what Pike's going to turn into. I've at least seen when Moseley can play good, and I think he can compete with a good OL, but he just didn't have a chance against LSU, uga and bama last year.

There was talk last year that the race was close and Chizik picked Trotter.

And the talk was that it was because Clint made poor decisions and turned the ball over.

Looks like Chizik was right, huh?

He was ready to go. He played well in the 2nd half against Fla. Then we went into LSU and no QB we had on our roster would have been successful in that situation.

Yeah, he was gonna start over Cam Newton. You can throw your 2 year argument out the window and focus on last year. Trotter won the job. Again, I'm not saying he's the answer, but as of right now, he's the best 2nd choice we have.

I don't disagree that Pike probably has the ability to be better than Moseley, but right now, Moseley is the better option, imo.

Okay. He sucked last year. His 3rd year on campus.
quote:

He threw 7 whole passes. Good god. Let's tone it down a bit on how he played. There is a reason why we ran it 43 times and only passed 16 times. There is also a reason why he threw a single pass in the entire 4th quarter.

Throwing pick 6s from your own 20 yard line is not something I want to see from a player who has been in the same system for 3 years.

I'm sure I really hurt crybaby Moseley's feelings by talking bad about him.

You should know we can't talk bad, or be negative, about an Auburn player with these people around. Moseley sucks and there's no way around it.

i had a forgotten about him crying last year.

Ugh.

Count me in the i woudl rather see just about anyone on the field than mosely crowd. Going against conventional wisdom i say the devil i don't know is better than the one i do.
