It also helps that UO is on the quarters system. They can wait to get their EEs. LSU is what, next week? A&M starts in 2 weeks i believe.

i think willie lyles called himself a trainer/evaluator/whatever, too, and oregon isn't supposed to be using those services while they are on probation through the 2014-15 season.

The dude sent his video and we offered and he accepted on the spot. You aggie fans are incredulous.

We didn't need to pay a handler, bro.

aren't you on probation for paying a handler?

EDIT: for the record, i don't really give a shite, i just think it is funny that you'd push the envelope here when you're still on probation for doing what looks to be the same thing a couple of years ago.

What we did was pay the service for recruiting information when they were handling a particular PSA's recruitment and Lyles was deemed a booster. We can't pay for recruiting services. No where in Amadi's recruitment did you hear that we paid for a recruiting service. His trainers sent out videos to various schools. We reviewed it and offered.

You are making this into something it isn't.. That would be ridiculous for us not to pursue kids if they have a trainer helping them out with the recruiting process whether it be their high school coach, a qb coach, a trainer, or a relative.

How the frick did we push the envelope?

This is typical of Aggies. They can't believe that other schools would land a commitment. Just like reading that Lubick, our WR coach, would jump at the opportunity to make a lateral move to A&M because it's obviously a superior move.

so you guys were just paying lyles (known around these parts for being a handler for years before this went down) for some recruiting info on the up-and-up, then got tripped up when he was deemed a booster? LOL.

call it a trainer, advisor, or spiritual guidance counselor for all i care. it is likely all the same shite. amadi showed some interest in a&m late. easy come, easy go.

We paid and paid for access you dolt. I am not naive. However, Amadi sucked our dicks in this situation not the the other way around. Amadi sent us tape and we weren't knocking down his door.

I think with Phillips off the board Ugo realized that many of the schools that were open to him just wanted Phillips. That would makes sense with him sending his tape out and committing so quickly to a school he's not very familiar with.

Oregon tends to be able to do more with less very consistently. Ugo probably doesn't realize it given how quickly it happened but he may well have jumped at the right school for him -- a place where he will thrive.

Our entire two deep in the secondary had elite offers. I am not sure that is a unit that we get less.

Oregon only has two DB's on the entire roster that were top247 players out of HS. I don't think he meant that as a slight. Oregon definitely makes up for that with their coaching obviously.

Pretty much this. It wasn't meant as a slight. It was actually a compliment on the coaching.

I didn't take it as a slight. However, some of our 247 are athletes or WR.

Dior Mathis, Tyree Robinson, Ifo Ekpre Olomu, and Arrion Springs were 247 and are DBs.

Dargan was 284, Daniels and Seisay were composite 247.

McGraw tripped Texas, FSU, and OU and I think A&M.

Ihenancho was tripped to Tennessee and UCLA.

Juwaaan Williams tripped Vandy, Notre Dame and Florida State.

The lowest profile recruit on the roster at the moment is Troy Hill from the 2010 class. Other than that, I would say that DB is spot were we are recruiting our best.

You should see our other units for doing more with less.

Oregon represents the very worst of college football. Store bought team from an eccentric billionaire. In truth, the fact that Nike supplies uniforms to other teams and then that money is given to Oregon somewhat represents a conflict of interest.

If there was any purity to the game left, Oregon took a dump on it a long time ago. Not only that, their fans are the absolute worst in the PAC 12. Maybe the worst in the entire nation. Plus, they have the ugliest coeds I've ever seen. But that's pretty much par for the course when it comes to the state of Oregon.

A 'purity' rant from an OM fan?

If you have 4 and 5 star athletes, you can just go ahead and assume some rules have been bent a little bit.
