Nike isnt the only support Oregon has.lol. It's just the biggest one.lol. Here in the state of Wisconsin all of the new sport stadiums was built because one family gave money (includes the football stadium expansion). SEC fans hating Oregon is funny. Oh no, they came to SEC country and took a recruit. SEC teams go into other regions of the country to get recruits..lol.

Lol, kid isn't bad but won't be an instant contributor, lol.

Lol, you seem not to realize that he wasn't the prize, that his 5* friend was, lol.

Lol, like seriously how old are you, like isn't past your bed time, lol?

Woulda been a return guy at LSU, he saw the depth and got scurred. Think he was the only guy Cheif personally recruited, figured we'd lose him to Aggie cause he'd start there easily. Guess not

Hope he does well at Oregon.

Really happy UT got Martin and Phillips out of the 3 though.

The argument against Oregon because of Nike money is just stupid. What difference does it make? Money is money no matter where it comes from. Oregon is not going anywhere because of it and I have no issue with it.

Think about this, all schools that wear Nike uniforms and gear get paid by Nike. So that's about half, if not more, of the major football and basketball programs getting Nike money. Basically Nike is partly supporting half the programs in the country.
Another thought I got while watching Oregon/FSU. Both were wearing Nike. How amazing does Oregon and Phil Knight have to feel knowing that their opponent is wearing the brand that built both of them? FSU is wearing Nike. Oregon has Nike standing on their sideline cheering for them. That's crazy to think about. If only they were closer to the talent they would be a major, major powerhouse. Kids are drawn to Oregon but its so far away. We are all fortunate they aren't in CA or the southeast.

His biggest asset was that he was friends with Kyle Phillips. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU suggested he look around when KP announced for UT.

TN backed off him VERY early, and only tried to jump back in when he began saying that he and Kyle would "100% be attending the same school."

That's what I heard too. I think he tried to commit to Tennessee back in the spring and was turned down then he committed to Ole Miss shortly afterwards.

I really thought that was going to cost us Phillips.

Recently when A&M takes a package, the throw in/lesser player has outperformed the star of the package.

i think willie lyles called himself a trainer/evaluator/whatever, too, and oregon isn't supposed to be using those services while they are on probation through the 2014-15 season.

The NCAA reduced Oregon's official paid visits from 56 to 37 for the next three academic years, reduced its evaluation days for each of the next three seasons and banned the program from using recruiting services during the probation period.
