Why so low? Fournette > Yeldon

Because Fournette will obviously has 1250 yards and 14 TDs as a true freshman this year in an offense that is running back by committee.

He certainly has the ability; there's no question about that. His biggest hurdle will be getting the number of carries. Les likes to spread it around a lot. It helps keep the guys fresh/NFL ready.

LSU fans-

"We have high expectations for Fournette, but they aren't realistic!"

Rant- "Top 3 Running Backs Next Year?"

LSU fans-

"Gurley, Yeldon, Fournette"

Is this supposed to be a gotcha?

The fact that you've never heard of him doesn't mean he's not a good RB.

Yeah, there actually is a question about that. He's never faced a college defense.

Really?

He had 140 less carries than Jeremy Hill and only a couple more than Blue. And he made the most of his time and looked very impressive. Excellent center of gravity from his height, good vision, good burst, and follows his blockers well. He won't burn you or run over you, but he is a very good RB.

86 rushes for 626 yards and 8 TDs. That's 7.3 yards a carry. Really shitty

Of course he hasn't. He did however face the best HS talent in one of the top five HS football states. Over and over again he shredded teams loaded with future college talent, many of whom are already in the SEC. Find some of those guys on rosters at 'Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss or AtM. They'll vouch for Leonard, alright.

Heading into November, Davis was leading the SEC in rushing ypg and total yds from scrimmage (for all positions), and was tied for rushing tds. Then he got dinged up and his production dropped off big time. But he proved how good a back he can be when healthy.

Hopefully we'll have a healthier RB unit for 2014, and utilize them more to give Davis more breathers as the season goes through. If USC is going to win the East we'll need Mike to be relatively fresh in November...

I think Yeldon has already more than proven when he's made of. Same goes for Gurley.

We have some damn good backs in the SEC.
