That '06 team was loaded. Definitely the most loaded one of the 3 on offense. Damn that Auburn game, and keeping us out of Atlanta.

1983 is probably the best team as far as what they did against the competition compared to other schools of the same year.

2004 is the the best team as far as talent especially when looked at from a NFL success perspective. The argument USCw was more talented isn't something that was true after 5 years of NFL experience. The 2004 Auburn team was legit. Just not TV flashy.

He was first overall pick next year, plus we had two WRs go in the first round. LaRon Landry was a top 5 pick too

glen dorsey (top 5 pick 2007), tyson jackson (top 5 pick 2008), jacob hester (all-sec 2007), chevis jackson (1st team all-sec 2007), craig steltz (all american, thorpe finalist 2007), darry beckwith (1st team all-sec), ali highsmith (all american), rick jean francios, brandon lafell (1st team all sec 2009), trindon holliday, and early doucet were all on that team as well, among others

Yeah, I don't know why I said senior. Sometimes I am thinking "last year" in my head and automatically type senior. Bowe and Davis were the WR's, I believe.

correct, along with early doucet and a freshman brandon lafell. davis benefitted greatly from playing on that team as he was a gigantic bust and probably never should have been drafted in the 1st.

There isn't a debate.

Arkansas 11-0 and beat Texas.
Alabama 10-1 and lost to Texas.

This.

Any person that believes Alabama was the best team that year and deserved a championship rapes little kids, beats women, hires illegal aliens and stiffs them on pay, has massive credit card debt, their wives constantly step out on them, they have ugly daughters and weakling sons, their dogs have fleas, watch non-high definition TV, have an aol.com email address, believes Little Debbies are its own food group, has bad breath 2 minutes after brushing their remaining teeth, know the recipe for shaker meth by heart, and wears jerseys to the bar.

Imagine if we had Mettenberger at QB instead of Jefferson. God, that was a tough pill to swallow.

Arkansas
11-0 Beat then #1 Texas in Austin
Beat then #2 Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl

Alabama
10-1 Lost to Texas in the Orange Bowl

I see your point....it would be stupid for anyone to claim this one over Bama.

The 13 team was NC and only gave up only 13 points on the way to an undefeated season of 8-0.

Good ole Pick 6 Lee is what got us through most of that season. Before he was pulled for Jefferson LSU's Offense was pretty high powered. It went in the shitter when they starting staying with JJ more and more.

I agree completely, but Lee was never going to beat Bama. He was a deer in headlights against them in November.
