You still seem pretty mad about it. You must not frequent this board, because on any given day there are 100s of predictions that never come to fruition. It is the nature of a flame board, which I think we can all agree this is.

There have been a lot, but I think the 2011 BCS title game against LSU is my favorite. We heard for a month how Bama had regressed and LSU had improved since the first game. Brando was predicting a easy LSU win. LSU was being billed as possibly the greatest team to ever play college football and this game would solidify their spot in that discussion. Then Bama goes out and completely dismantles their offense and AJ makes the Honey Badger his bitch. Easily the most satisfying bowl win for me.

DBowe started that fight, didn't he?

Fitting, that Miami native would KO 2 Miami players with his helmet.

Out of the bowls I was either alive for or went to it's easily the 1990 Holiday Bowl

BYU coaches, players, and fans were talking major shite before the game complaining that they deserved to play a better team since they were 10-2, had the Heisman winner in Ty Detmer, and were ranked much higher #9 in coaches poll and #13 in AP while A&M was only 8-3-1 and #19 in the coaches and unranked in the AP.

A&M proceeded to beat the ever loving piss out of them to the tune of 65-14 and separated both of Detmer's shoulders.

It was one of the most fun beat downs I have ever attended.
LINK

Honorable mentions go to the 2012 Cotton vs OU, the 1995 Alamo Bowl vs Michigan, and the 1987 Cotton vs Notre Dame.

I was too young to remember much about the 85 Cotton vs Auburn other than my grandma cheering at the tv during the game and continually telling me to look for my parents when they did crowd shots.

Fair enough.

Middle of that paragraph was bullshite. But everything else was pretty much spot on. Replace AJ with Kevin Norwood and Honey Badger with LSU and you have a perfect analysis.

We knew there were some O issues when JJ got a total of 30 yards passing against UGA. Unfortunately Les knew there was no way Lee was beating UA so we were kinda stuck. But I don't put it all on JJ. The OL played poorly and UA's front 7 played great.

Was it 1990 when the LSU team beat the dogshit out of the FSU team, right there on the sideline, for the world to see?

At least DBowe had the decency to take his victims into the tunnel.

Actually the story would be that Alabama should have gotten a third chance.

2012 Cotton Bowl. So much butthurt in BigXII that not only were we playing the Sooners we were trading barbs with EVERY other team's fans.

To silence them was great. To give them the SEC chant was fricking awesome.

Now, with that one out of the way, the 1990? or 91 Holiday Bowl against BYU and Ty Detmer. The BYU party line was that they were insulted to play the Aggies, that it wouldn't be a contest. They were right in one respect, the Aggies just beat the ever living frick out of them and separated BOTH of Ty Detmer's shoulders. Respect to him for playing through the pain, but a giant for their coaching staff to let him go back in.

RC had the defense as dialed in as I had ever seen, and they just humiliated the BYU squad.

Bonus points, that is the game shown in the beginning credits of The Last Boyscout.

Everyone wouldn't shut the frick up about how Tech deserved to play a better opponent and how they should be playing for the Natty.

Then the Landshark defense happened.

Besides the Championship games, I have a 2a and 2b. Mine would actually be the '96 Peach Bowl and the '97 Indy Bowl. Peach Bowl because i was 16 at the time and was only 8 or 9 last time we were in one so i dont remember it too much. That year started the run. The Indy Bowl simply because I hate Notre Dame and I sat with my pawpaw in the upper deck Watching us get beat and freezing my arse off so we owed them for that. Not flashy games but definately great memories

On a side note....I gotta say i absolutely loved watching us beat the hell out of Miami and in my opinion sending them on their little spiral into mediocrity

The 2006 Cotton Bowl vs. TTU was my favorite. I was stationed in San Antonio at the time and my wife decided to surprise me with those tickets. So we drove up to Dallas and I thought that she was going to the game with me. But my dad had flown in after having back surgery just a couple of weeks before, which made the surprise better. It was a really ugly game with nearly zero offense. Our tickets were in the middle of a bunch of TT fans. Most obnoxious fans I had been around. Jamie Christiansen made a FG that was spinning sideways and cleared the crossbar by about 6 inches. All 10 of us in that section that were Bama fans went nuts, except for my dad who couldn't because he was afraid of messing up his back again.

That was the last game I went to with my dad. He passed away last year. It'll take an awful lot for another game to top that one for me.

There does seem to be one trend:

Games where someone beat the snot out of Miami :)
