I'm actually coming around on Cam. He's improved his game dramatically. He's actually backing up his dancing with some serious game. That said, still hoping he loses to Peyton.

I never deny he's a very good QB and the best athlete in the NFL but I hate when so many people jump the gun on how X player is now the greatest in the league when players like Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Manning (up until this year), etc consistently perform every year with some drop off here and there. This is Cam's first great statistical season mostly because his TD numbers are up.
If he gets this going for a couple more years I have no issue with him being in top 5. Likely top 3 because a few of those names I listed will be gone.

How many people actually HATE Cam? Don't care for him? I'm sure there are a ton. But true HATE? Not that many.
I think most people just tire of his "look at me" approach and the constant AU fans white knighting the guy.
Cam is an incredible talent. People laughed when he said he wanted to be an "icon", but to his credit, he's pretty much made that happen in only 5 years. It's impressive what he's done.
Why do AU fans feel the need to constantly try to convince everyone to like Cam?

I don't hate Cam so much as I have contempt for the pathetic nature of Auburn fans and their dick riding LSU suck buddies who take such pride and joy in a player who was there less than a year....its literally like their greatest accomplishment. It's all they have.

When he wins he jumps around, dances, and makes sure the camera is on him. When he loses he throws a towel over his head and pouts. He still wants the camera on him but he needs everyone to know just how upset he is and how much he cares about the game

No we all know he works like hell and he has improved like crazy. But I'm not convinced that each loss is so devastating that he has to hide his face

Barners celebrating a Panthers win like it is an Auburn NC makes him and the Camthers unlikeable.
I know of Auburn fans who quit on their favorite NFL team and are all of a sudden "diehard" Panthers fans. Fans who couldn't tell me who the last Panthers head coach before Rivera was.

TBH, I don't know a lot of Auburn fans, especially the ones from Alabama, that have a favorite NFL. It's not engrained in them like somebody who grew up as a Steelers fan or a KC fan (like me).

Cam is a great player, no doubt. Maybe the best ever at his position.
People have problems with how he acts. Sure I'm a Bama fan and don't like him anyway but I've never had a problem with Bo Jackson. Cam is, it's all about me, look at me, I'm the reason we are great. This may be true but he would be in a different stratosphere with respect and popularity around the league ( and yes there are A LOT of NFL players that don't like him) if he were more like Barry Sanders.
Unfortunately for him, someone will have enough of his antics one day and decide its time to put a stop to it on the field.

I would imagine if Cam had stayed at UF, or played at UGA, UT, LSU, or Bama, then AU fans would not care for many of the things he does and how he carries himself. We all have our biases to carry. AU has one for Cam. It's cool.

He comes off as really fake. Tries to make it seem he is moral and doing Gods work, but he left Florida for stealing a laptop and was on the verge of getting expelled for multiple counts of cheating.
Maybe he turned his life around, but my guess is he is still pretty dishonest.
