I'd rather be sensitive than delusional.. I'm no normal LSU fan either though. I lived the first 18 years of my life in northeast Arkansas and dealt with this on a daily basis. When LSU wins Arky fans talk about how bad Bama or someone else beats us, and when Arky actually wins they're heads and tails the better program on all levels. Every year all I hear from Arky fans is how they have a really good shot to win the SEC, and they never do. Hell, I already made a $100 bet with my buddy that Arkansas won't win the SEC next year. I've got another buddy that attends Arky, and he won't admit that LSU was the better team this year and claims we were extremely lucky to overcome the 14-0 deficit. The fact is we stomped Arkansas, and accomplished so many things that program has never been able to do. Yet, they still take jabs at LSU in any way possible

You must of not logged on between 11/5/11 - 01/09/2012, if you would have, you would have seen how most LSU posters were talking down to everyone, and taking shots at anyone who didn't’t put them on a pedestal. It was not only directed toward Bama, but all SEC fan bases it was pretty unbearable to deal with

there were A LOT of rantards from the Tiger Rant that spilled in during that period

A big reason why I stayed away up until about a week or so before the NC.

I was not one of those, however those that did had substance to their arguements. If you as a Bama fan want to take a jab at LSU, I'd be fighting a losing battle trying to come up with stuff to refute what you say. I don't get why that mentality is so hard for pig fans to accept

Sounds good to me. Was it an accident that LSU only crossed the 50 yard line once during the game?

By the way, does anyone have the picture of the 50 yard field?

Whatever, dude. We crossed it, like, 7 times. This fact has already been established numerous times since Jan. 9th.

If I'm wrong, prove it.

I think your post gets the dumbass of the day award.

Shows how stupid some people can be - ask any member of the LSU team which game they would prefer winning - Nov 5 or Jan 9

Back in your cage Rantard.

I don't remember us crossing it except for running on and off the field and on special teams....they can flame on for all I care. I was pissed for exactly one day. I'm over it and looking forward to this season.

What's crazy to me is the fact that this so far superior Alabama team on which LSU could not even cross mid-field was beaten by that very same LSU team in THEIR home stadium on a Saturday night in one of the biggest games in the history of that stadium. I know missed FGs, miss opportunites, etc. However, the Alabama team I see talked about on this board was so clearly superior that there is just no way possible that team lost AT HOME to a far inferior LSU team.

This is a flame.....these two teams would have split a 10 game series with a slight edge to Alabama meaning I could see Alabama going 6 - 4. What no one from Alabama will admit when using Jan 9th as the proxy for everthing comparable with these two teams is that LSU played by far it's worst game of the season and Alabama played close to it's best (mainly a perfect gameplan and a ridiculously perfect night from Mcelroy).

You're wrong, Tuscaloosa News
quote:

LSU gained just 39 rushing yards and quarterback Jordan Jefferson passed for just 53 yards on 17 attempts, throwing one interception and getting sacked four times by a relentless Crimson Tide defense. The Tigers crossed the 50-yard line just once all evening, and managed only five first downs.

And if you think that's a homer paper, ESPN

quote:

LSU didn't cross midfield until there were 8 minutes left in the game. The Tigers finished with just 92 yards and five first downs.
quote:

The Tigers were outgained 384-92 in total yards. On that one and only trip into Alabama territory, they quickly went back, back, back -- the last gasp ending appropriately with the beleaguered Jefferson getting the ball knocked from his hand before he could even get off a fourth-and-forever pass.
