I think the post was pretty interesting. It's also interesting that despite pretty much every major sport championship being won by a wild card type team / team that didn't have the best regular season, the ONLY outrage among these is over Alabama winning the BCSNC. People did not balk at all over Uconn, Bruins, Mavericks, Cardinals, and Giants championships, but they pissed and moaned for weeks (and are in fact still pissing and moaning now) about Alabama. Interesting.

Holy shite....did I say LSU was the better team? You guys are crazy....all I said was that in every major sport this year the champion was not the best team during the regular season (record wise, statistically, etc, etc).

Did I say undeserving? Each team one the title by the means that their respective sports determine a winner. Hence, each winner was deserving. That is not to say that the 9 - 7 Giants were the best team during the NFL regular season. You Bama folks are pretty sensitive.

I guess this just goes to show that playoffs don't do any better job of determining a "true" champion than the BCS does, maybe worse. At least the BCS got the arguably 2 best teams in the finals.

Probably so...my bad. Was not intending to offend anyone. I actually tend to find better discussion on the SEC rant than Tiger rant these days, which is why I posted here. Probably better over on the MSB, but noone is ever there. Didn't realize the ultra-sensitive Bama vultures were going to come out.

The way you presented it and then got defensive is what brought out the vultures. You failed to mention in your OP that you were simply quoting an article.
Then you pulled the "13-1 >>>>> 12-1" and it went downhill from there.

The board has become such a flame fest that a post like that is gonna stir people up.
It kinda came off as a we should have won Bama was undeserving type post thread.
