I think most LSU fans, while enjoying the usually competitive game, hate that Florida is our permanent Eastern opponent, as we get a typically tough annual game while Ole Miss gets Vandy, State gets Kentucky and Arkansas gets Mizzou; opponents which are typically less well regarded than Florida. This competitive imbalance is a result of the SEC wanting to keep two cross divisional rivalries: Alabama/Tennessee and Auburn/Georgia.

With the admittance of Mizzou and A&M the SEC could move Alabama and Auburn to the East and Mizzou and Vandy to the West. This would preserve the two traditional rivalries that the SEC sought to preserve when creating the permanent cross-divisional opponents, actually align geographically AND allow TWO opposite divisional teams to rotate through each season- so SEC teams would play each other more frequently and with that schedules would be more likely to even out over time.

The big four, who demand to play each other each year hate this, as they (rightly) say it would create a competitive imbalance. So, from an LSU perspective, the old guard gets what the old guard wants, despite the equal arguments of competitive imbalance.

Suck it up Pussy!!!! AU plays UGA every year and back before you were even probably watching football when each team had 2 permanent cross-division games AU's were UGA and Florida.

The only block M you will see is on the hill in the stadium. The pissed kitty head is the MU logo, for better or worse. They did a study and when shown a hat with the M on it, the predominant answer by the test group was Michigan. I honestly don't care what they wear as long as they win.

The basketball issue is an interesting one. Kim was hired to burn the barn and kill the rats. He now has a roster that contains none of the previous staff's players. It is still a very young roster but the new AD may give him a chance to let his first true class become upperclassmen. I'd like to see what Anderson can do cooking with his own groceries.

A&M: some great games and opens up TX recruiting.
Mizzou: absolutely nothing. Not one thing.

Who are these great East teams Missouri can't compete with?

Georgia? We are 1-3 against them, but lost last year on the road 6-9 with what was our worst offensive unit in literally the past 100 years.

Tennessee? We are 3-1 against them.

Florida? We are 2-2 against them.

South Carolina? We are 2-2 against them.

When you make exaggerated claims like "Missouri can not compete" with the East when in reality they have not only competed but Won the division more than anyone else in their time there, you look ignorant at best and bitter at worst.

Are you saying objective history doesn't matter and only the future counts? You think your pure faith opinions are authoritative? You are pitiful.

I actually like their logos especially TAMU's. Or if you're going by the order of the letters in the logo, ATM's.

But I hate everything else about them being in the SEC.

Fave thing about Mizzou: They're where they should be, at the bottom of the East. They'll have a chance against the lower tier teams like Vandy KY and UF, but won't compete with the upper tiers.

On the rant...

A large percentage of inflated egos that like to make excuses of any bad history of their program and think Missouri is 14/14 in the mighty SEC.

In real life...

Have been attending games with A&M fans for years, hung out with SEC fans at Mizzou games for the past 4 years, and made road trips to UK, Tenn, & Fla. Pretty much very single fan I have talked with has been incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They realized Mizzou's 2013/14 teams were great teams and last years Mauk suspension was a big deal. Tennessee was my second favorite road trip for friendly fans topped only by Nebraska. Wish more of these fans were on the rant.

Not reading the entire thread but I'll answer seriously

Mizzou: fun fanbase to mingle with on here. Fans in person are also great. We share the same location name, which is kinda cool. They aren't southern, which kind of brings different and enlightening views on certain discussions since this is a southern dominated board. Plus we've had a couple of really good games with them.

A&M: they just fit. They're weird as frick, but they fit all the characteristics of an SEC school. Beautiful stadium that I would love to see in person. Great fanbase and support. When the 4th quarter starts and the crowd locks together and sways is a sight to see. I'm glad we play these guys every year now, even though we haven't been able to beat them yet.

I'm happy with both additions. They brought in money, ratings, a couple passionate fanbases, and fun travel locations. Can't believe it's been this long since they've joined.

MU is undefeated in Knoxville.

That isn't going to change this year.

See you on the 19th of November.

I like am is trying to force LSU into being rivals. Mizzou.....protests and such could care less. But I do love the fact they thought they belonged when they got to ATL and promptly found out the state of AL plays big boy games in the dome
