I'm not going to lie. As an Alabama fan, it wouldn't shock me if it was us just because I always expect the worst. Having said that, this would literally be out of left field. The 2002 case was preceded by tons and tons of Logan Young rumors so it was far from a shock. This would be out of left field unless there are completely out of the blue rumors that have managed to stay completely under the radar for the last several months. Not ruling anything out, but for once Alabama would seem to be the less likely of the SEC West's Big 3.

Auburn is the subject of 1,700+ page thread with posters from multiple schools making allegations. Some of the allegations are easily a 10 on the shock factor scale if any of them are true/proven. The fact that Auburn may not be great this coming year doesn't preclude them from being a 10 story by any means. They are the defending champs after all. Documented proof of any of the bigger rumors would definitely be a 10. The fact that the main cast of characters have been public and suspicious for months wouldn't lessen the shock factor if the wild rumors were ever confirmed.

LSU, who I like and don't want to get in trouble as college football is fun when y'all are good, has the street agent association which may or may not result in anything. The sigificant number of players linked to Lyles is a bit concerning so that's something to consider.

My opinion on the likelihood of the 3 schools being the subject:

Auburn>>>>>>>>>>>>LSU>>Alabama>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MSU (just because they aren't important enough a program to generate a 10 story)

well, reporters did ask for Ohio State to comment before they went public- could be related to the news Auburn "supposedly" received last week.

Who knows- just speculating

You're joking, right?

If Yahoo and the FBI didn't get involved, Jim Tressel would still be coach. Chip Kelly would have nothing to worry about. If a Dallas TV station hadn't been nosy, SMU would never have gotten the death penalty.

Yahoo is the most feared force in college athletics right now.

Gotta a feeling it's us.

Could be one of two things

1. Hicks case. We are still waiting on the response
2. Lyles and Peterson ... Who knows who is telling the truth there.

I don't think the NCAA has told us what they've dug up yet.

I can't tell if CPA's being serious

Meh, it always could be us, any Alabama fan over the age of 10 would acknowledge that. But like GovtTide said, there hasn't been any smoke outside of the Calloway thing.

I'm thinking whatever it is, has not been mentioned yet. Auburn could have gotten pissed off and ratted out somebody.
