Can agree with, but how will his talents transition to the next level.

most polarizing pro team

What?

Hell yea the Cowboys are the most polarizing team. The reason they get great ratings while being a constant 8-8 or worse is b/c a large number of people either irrationally love them or irrationally hate them and will tune in to see if the Cows can overcome and win or go down in flames in spectacular fashion.

As for Johnny in the pros? Well, I think at best with everything going right he can be similar to Drew Brees. Both are of similar stature, both were criticized for arm strength going into the draft, and both come from systems that NFL people tend to dismiss as smoke and mirrors. People also seem to forget that Brees was also a bit of a scrambler in college. No tot the degree of Johnny but he certainly had some moves.

Now am I saying JFF will be just as good as Brees? No, just that I see the potential. I really don't think he will run all that much once he gets to the NFL. He cut back on it dramatically this year at A&M and by the end of the year was often running out of bounds and sliding instead of trying to power through people like he did much of 2012.

Bortles will be better than all of them IMO.

Texans should take him #1.

What if they took another Carr?

Even though it always seemed to me like David Carr was unfairly set up to fail due to the Texans horrid line I think from a PR perspective it would be a bad idea for them to draft his little brother.

Are you aware how many teams need a QB in this draft?

Yes ... and I am also aware of how many prototypical NFL-type QBs there are available in this draft that might go ahead of JFF.

Also, not everyone from 1-25 is going after, or in need of, a QB.

Gil also predicted Manzi to Texans.

Game recognize game.

Houston already sells out every game, I don't think they need to worry about ticket sales

Ok, gotta ask yall, I have been a Teddy fan for several years now and I have wanted him in JAX since his freshman year. All my friends hate him (their guys are usually worse, one dude kept telling me JAX needed McCarron) but I wanna hear from yall: what's the beef with Bridgewater? Please god tell me it isn't just that he's a big east QB.

Bortles is impressive but I still rather have Teddy. JFF would bring hype and excitement but with the Jags woes I feel like we'd mail him back to College Station in pieces. So why not Teddy?

I wouldn't take Bridgewater #1.

Forget stats, use the eye test. He is a good player, but his throwing motion looks like Tebow or Leftwich. Such a slow delivery spells trouble at the NFL level. Aaron Murray is more NFL ready.

Manziel is a wildcard. More Athletic. But his throwing motion and arm strength are better than he gets credit for.

I think the greatest thing about this draft is that you can basically have your pick of what traits you think is most important in a QB.

Manziel - Mobility, Vision, Fun to watch
Bortles - Prototypical size, big arm
Bridgewater - Accurate, good feet, great feel for pocket
Carr - Best deep ball in the draft
McCarron - Leadership and Intangibles, slightly above average physical tools
Murray - College Production
Mettenberger - Upside, Big Arm, may need time to develop
Shaw - Toughness, Man's Man, Dual-Threat

So basically it comes down to what you want in your franchise QB. Do you want a Russell Wilson type player (Manziel) or a Joe Flacco (Bortles)?

I am with ya. I am a believer that Hennething is possible but I can only watch that block head throw so often. And I want Gabbert to see his heir apparent before he's pumping gas. frickin tool.

It's not that far outside the realm of possibility. The Texans need asses in seats. Johnny would put asses in seats.
Seems like a pretty sound pick to me.
