He was the savior of Arky last week.

No longer I suppose.

I think this is a case that LSU wants to make sure they keep their image as an in-state recruiting power. They make offers like this in order to continue good relationships with the coaches and to settle the nerves of 3:00 AM cable-access news commentators.

Yeah, when you look back on the thread, you'll see the only reasons I didn't think this kid was the best ever was because:

a. I was jealous OM didn't get the commit.
b. He "boned my skirt"
c. I was allegedly in the band...?

Now, of course, he's a mere mortal and a jackass for taking the tigers where he will admittedly be playing back up.

You didn't like him, you posted about it, people disagreed with you and flamed you, and from that, you concluded that Arkansas fans regarded Williams as our savior?

I should add: I do think that some Arkansas fans were taking Max Emfinger's exaggeratedly positive evaluation of Armand Williams a little too seriously. Emfinger did make Williams sound like he was a lock for the freshman All-American team. I thought he was a good steal who had a good chance to develop into a Greg Childs-type WR and I'm disappointed to see him flip, but I do understand his decision since the kid is from Slidell and probably grew up loving LSU.
