My little Arky homer I talk to is getting pretty nervous about this supposed "big finish" Arkansas is supposed to have.

This sentence made me for real!
Do you keep him in a cage or an equipment shed or what?

They should take Maudrecus Humphrey from Hoover.

This was my hog homers prediction for how Arkansas would finish out their class on Jan 3 (they had 18 commits at the time)...

4-star LB Shaydon Akuna
4-star DT Byron Jones
4-star DT Calvin Barnett
4-star DT Eric Humphrey
3-star DT Damien Jacobs
3-star WR Maudrecus Humphrey
Since then their commits have been...
5.5 3-star DT LaCraig Brown
5.5 3-star K William Russ
5.6 3-star DE Daunte Carr
5.6 3-star ATH Julian Horton
5.6 3-star WR Armand Williams
4-star S Edrick Loften
4-star LB Shaydon Akuna
4-star DT Byron Jones
4-star DT Calvin Barnett
4-star DT Eric Humphrey
3-star DT Damien Jacobs
3-star WR Maudrecus Humphrey

What's really funny is he listed about 20 other "possibilities" and not a single one of those commits were on that either
Posted on 1/24/10 at 4:59 pm to thunderbird1100
It's never a good thing to have "20 other possibilities" a a little over a week before NSD.

I'll admit that we aren't having the best recruiting class this year.

He is a Greg Childs clone....6'3 around 200 with a 43 inch vert...
I know it was only Max Emfinger game, but had 3 catches for 210 and 2 TD's...

Go ahead and laugh about Williams since you're obviously an expert football talent evaluator. That's why you post on a message board.
Petrino and Staff are estatic about getting Williams and you may be laughing our the other side or you arse in a year or two if he pans out like Petrino and this recruiting site thinks.
Armand Williams (6-3, 188, 4.51, 42 VJ, 4.2 SH, 139 SBJ, 18 REPS, of Slidell, Louisiana is one of the most sensational Super Combine Freaks that I have ever seen. He came to the Zachary Super Combine as a relative unknown, but left as the Super Combine Camp MVP as he did an incredible 139 inch Standing Broad Jump. If I had not have seen it myself, I would not have beleived that it was true.
This feat may be the best in the country this year. Williams did a 37 inch vertical jump, at the Zachary Super Combine, but he had already recorded a 42 inch vertical jump at the Tulane Summer Camp before his junior season. He also has personal bests of 6-8 in the high jump and 23-6 in the long jump.
He also caught everything that was near him in the drills.
Williams is obviously one of the top wide receivers in the country, although he only caught 42 balls as a junior for 642 yards, 10 touchdowns, and a 15.3 yards per catch average. For this reason, I have invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic and he has accepted.
Shortly after his senior season was over, I invited Williams and a few other players who will play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic to participate in a short workout at Plaquemine High School Football Stadium.
In the drills at Plaquemine High School, Williams made some unbelievable catches and in the pro-agility shuttle, he recorded a 4.2 clocking.
I personally believe that Armand Williams may be one of the Top Five wide receivers in the country and since his high school football team was a dominating running team, he was never able to be highlighted. For this reason, he was "Flying Under the Recruiting Radar" during the recruiting season, during his senior football season, and after the season, since there were no huge stats. He is still Flying under the recruiting radar.

To what? Look at the AP and Coaches poll when it releases in August. Outside of Boise, the entire top five will have been top five in recruiting most years. There's a reason Rivals' top ranked classes for the last decade have seen a national title at some point in their career. While recruiting isn't a science, and there will be busts, misses, etc., it's usually a pretty accurate gauge. You can't continually finish outside the top twenty-five, and well behind the contenders in your conference, and expect to compete consistently with those said schools.

All relative to us beating these Auburn fricktards.
Make sense now?
