Thank you for the explanation. Why do you only have male cheerleaders? Can this be changed?

Haha, like I said, some weird shite. You should check out Gunther's Tootie Fruitie Summer Love. That's the one my friend showed me. Its funny, but I have the strange feeling that the fAggies are the ones who actually act out the video

Yell Leaders are elected by the student body. Their purpose is to get the 12th Man pumped up and yelling during the game, and to lead our various synchronized yells. Girls have run for the position before, but have never been elected. It'd take a pretty unique chick to pull it off.
I'll put it this way ... if you were on defense and needed to make a goal line stand, would you want a chick yelling and screaming in the huddle to fire you up?
Yes, girls are fun to look at, but strategically cheerleaders don't heighten the intensity of the crowd or make the environment more hostile, so they don't really bring anything in that regard.
I'm honestly not opposed to there being something like the USC Song Girls on our sidelines, but the Yell Leaders bring too much to our atmosphere to get rid of them. That'd be a stupid arse mistake.

I don't believe it would take cheerleaders, male or female, to get an SEC student section to cheer as loud as possible on 4th and goal.

You probably shouldn't come to College Station then. Every tailgate is blasting Gunther. Even the old Ags around the stadium. We sell sweet-smelling oils for our skin at the concession stands, and there are orgies during TV timeouts.

Has the contract been drawn up yet? Is there still time to add in a provision that requires Aggy to start using female cheerleaders if they plan on joining the SEC? Seriously though, frick YOU MIKE SLIVE! YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE!

Probably not. But we have around a dozen or so yells and a yell leader is able to signal to the entire student body of 30,000 within a matter of seconds, and then has the ability to get all of 'em yelling in unison. It's too efficient to give up.
