I don't agree with that.

The tourney has friggin 68 teams, if you didn't make that you basically were a slightly above average team anyway that managed to get on a good run against other above average teams. Plus, in CBB you've already played like 30+ games at that point so another W/L on your record is kinda irrelevant.

With the way CFB is you could be a great team ranked in the top 6 in the country and just missed on the CFP but make the sugar bowl. The jump in prestige isn't NEARLY the same as the NCAAT/NIT. Plus, winning sure beats losing.
