Final Four but the whole one and done thing is bad for the game, baseball still does it better, go pro out of high school or come to college for 3 years.

It's amazing to see how far both the Final Four and CWS have come since the 80's, both are very popular attendance wise but obviously tv is where basketball wins out.

I didn't remember Vandy winning it last year either, but good job Vandy!

Also, I'll take the final 4.

Prof,

I tend to agree that live baseball is better baseball. As for softball what you might not have mentioned is the slapper and the game based on this simple difference. Due to size and speed there is no similar play in baseball.

no way in hell a week in Omaha is not a better experience than being in a random Dome for 2 basketball games in 3 days. been to Charlotte & Atlanta for F4's and even if my school were participating the whole thing is over too fast.

tailgating and the annual vibe in Omaha > rotating F4 venue.

Oh you mean the NCAA, unlike the SEC, can rotate most championship venues.

Good points. And I hope baseball fans realize that I'm not knocking them for loving college baseball - it's just not as entertaining for me, especially on TV and I like being able to drink at the ballpark whether it's the minors or the pros. I tend to watch all teams in sports that I like and always have. It doesn't matter to me whether we are in or out.

Obviously Vandy and UVA since they were in the title game, but no one remembers the other teams in the CWS, just like people forget the other teams in the sweet 16,elite 8 and final 4. No one remembers a loser.

But still the cws is more competitive. It's relatively the same teams in the sweet 16, elite 8, and final 4 every year lol. Hell if you got UK,NC, or DUKE on your jersey your relatively about a 70% lock to make it at least to the sweet 16 possibly the final 4 lol.
