Would have 2007 LSU made it into the playoffs?

The easy answer is 'yes', because they made the BCS. However, the 2 losses to Arkansas and Kentucky were pretty ugly and they may have been passed over by other 2-loss teams.

What's your opinion?

So a bunch of coaches/SIDs and football legends put them in and your question is whether a smaller subset of that type of group would have done the same thing in a hypothetical world? If anything, LSU would be more likely to make it if you had more spots. Dumb premise for a dumb thread.

check and see how many teams had fewer than 2 losses going into bowl season and you'll get your answer to this

I'll help you:
Ohio State, Hawaii, and Kansas

Obvious answer is yes, but Penn State didn't make it this year and the argument against was they had 2 losses to tOSU s 1 loss.

There was no 1 loss team that year that would of made it in over us.

Depends on how many no or one loss teams there are.

Heading into CCG weekend, the BCS looked like this:

1- Mizz
2- WVU
3- OSU
4- UGA
5- Kansas
6- VT
7- LSU
8- USC
9- OU
10- UF

Missouri and WVU lost knocking 1 and 2 out. LSU still would have made it just on the back of winning the SEC, IMO.

A final 4 of OSU, LSU, UGA, and USC would have been must see TV.

And usc was cheating at the time, fwiw

But if not lswho, then who?

LSU lost both of those games in 2OT and still had a good enough resume to make the final two. Kenucky was actually good that year and Arkansas has McFadden & Co. Stupid question if there were 4 spots open. Didn't Bama lose to ULM that year?

It is my sincere wish that this thread allows you to overcome your angst regarding the Clemson loss.

Stupid question is stupid. Please name the four teams that year with a better resume.

Why does USC jump VT in this scenario?

The only reason LSU jumps them is because they beat the hokies 41-7.
