He was 3-3 in NC games. Well, actually 4-2. One of those games ended on a bad call. Saban is a perfect 4-0. 3 of those being blowouts.

Last I checked, 6>3. Ill take the Bear right now, but I reserve the right to change my mind if 3 in a row happens.

A better question would be would you rather have Coach Bryant and Spencer Pennington or AJ/Namath and Shula.

I'd take Saban over Bryant.

McCarron is the best QB Bama has ever had. I don't find that remotely debatable. Honestly, I find what Saban is doing more impressive than what Bryant did, considering the current landscape of college football.

I find it debatable. I love AJ, but to say that he's better than Namath, Stabler, Starr...and that it's not even debatable...quite a statement.

None of them.

I would take Les Miles and Bert Jones, however...

None of those you mentioned have the ability of McCarron. Their status is elevated because of what they did later on.

Do Bama fans consider Namath their best quarterback ever?

I'll take the Bear, although it's difficult to compare different eras.

Has anyone seen the clip of Al Davis talking about Joe Willie coming out of college? I love AJ, but no personnel people are going to think as highly of him as Joe.

So you're at 23 down votes and counting... Just step away from the computer, write a heart felt note and start funnelling bleach until everything goes dark.

Congrats on the 2 up votes you and your alter gave your post btw.

You do not kknow your bama history that well....

Starr was benched his senior year, didn't play his junior year, and only played sparingly his freshman year. The only year he actually started, he threw for about 800 something yards and 8 total tds all year. Also, I think the only year he was a starting qb, bama won 6 games.

Starr did pretty much nothing while he was at alabama. Not sure why bama fans list him as an all-time great bama qb.

Namath has a quicker release and a slightly stronger arm. Mc has the arm and the touch to play on Sunday. And if he is able to win another ring he will be the goat at Bama.
Bryant-Saban are the best of their era.
