Just switch UT and Auburn its a simple fix.

East:
Auburn
Florida
UGA
Mizzou
SCar
UK
Vandy

West:
Bama
LSU
A&M
OM
MSU
Arkansas
UT

Bama-Auburn are cross division rivals. Keeps a good balance and maintains most big rivalries

So, one of the most Southern teams in the North? Why not stay as is, and one of the most western teams, in the East.

Should be

North

Missouri
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Arkansas
Tennessee
South Carolina
Ole Miss

South

Georgia
Mississippi State
Alabama
Auburn
Texas A&M
LSU
Florida

And no having this setup would not work. South is a meat grinder and the north to much of a cake walk.
And personally as as a Georgia fan I like being in the weaker division. Easier to rack up wins.

A true north south split would leave the south with:

TAMU
LSU
UF
Bama
AU
UGA
MSU

That division would be stacked with 5 of the big 6.

I'd be okay with that.

Tulane for the south

Tulane? The Green Wave plays their football games here...

Yulman Stadium

...which seats slightly more than 25,000.

Nice stadium, big deal for them to have it on campus. But it's 15,000 LESS seats than the current smallest stadium in the SEC...

Vanderbilt Stadium

No way.

Yulman stadium may be smaller but it's nicer than Vandy's

Just about any stadium is...no offense to Vandy fans. But smaller don't put as much money in our teams' collective pockets...and that's all I really care about as far as away games.

Holy mother of God,STFU already!

Alignment is just fine the way things are...God,some of you people act like the SEC started its divisional split 5 years ago.

If you want to frick with the divisions, it's simple:

Switch Mizzou and AUburn.

But it would cause issues with the Iron Bowl so... tough shite.

Just add one more conference opponent, take away one OOC game.

Would have a great effect on the conference w/l record for OOC games for some teams...

Personally I'd be thrilled if they did it this way. UGA could do away with the cross divisional stuff with Auburn, freeing us up to play an LSU or A&M more often (while also playign Auburn every year by virtue of the interdivisional games).

But, like most things, it just makes too much sense and someone with power would be anally pained by the idea of Auburn not playing LSU or Ole Miss or Arky or Moo State every year.

The thing I hate most about the current setup, is how long between the time is for playing opponents in the other division.

Mizzou has been in the SEC three years now...and LSU still hasn't played them.

When realignment occurs..

Oklahoma to the west. Mizzou to the west. Alabama to the east. NC State to the east.
