Yes, they are nuts and that post of his proves his. They want to blame Nutt for every loss, as they should. but give him no credit for any of the many wins he had at Arkansas, when any rational person knows that if you're to blame for the bad then you are also credited with the good.

Hell, they are so delusional that three years later they STILL blame Nutt when Petrino loses.

Pathetic.

They're extremists. They think that one must either adulate or despise a head coach. There can be gray area. Either he is the epitome of coaching brilliance (Petrino) or the scum of the football playing Earth (Nutt).

I don't fricking love Houston Nutt, but he is certainly a better fit for the Ole Miss program than is predecessor. Some of his games have frustrated me greatly (2010 Jax St, 2009 USCe), while some of his others have been some of the best Ole Miss football games I've ever watched (2008 LSU, 2009 Tennessee, 2009 Tx Tech).

I like the good he's done and hate the bad he's done, and it's that simple.

I watched Curley's firing on tv. It was during the LSU vs AU in 1994. LSU had a 16 point lead and literaly threw the ball game away. We had like 90 yards total offense and Curly kept throwing touchdowns to Auburn's secondary. I think we had like 3 or 4 touchdowns by intercetions. Our point total was 30 I think w/o an offensive TD. I think LSU had 6 INTS in the 2nd half.

As people have pointed out repeatedly, this is a contest solely between Hallman and Orgeron. People complaining about Nutt, Croom, DuBose, etc., are way off track.

I lean Hallman.

very very true And like I said to the guy who said Curley did well at Southen Miss, the obvious answer is Brett Favre and Brett Favre only. frick you Brett Favre, you were the only reason LSU hired Curley Hallman.

It wasn't until the 2000 season that I even questioned Hootie's ability, and at the time it was in regard to his recruiting "insufficiencies". The guy isn't a "bad" coach. In regard to coaching, he has some good qualities but it's never the "good" qualities that kill a deal.

ETA: The quality of being "bone-headed stubborn" and unwilling to adapt or delegate in areas where he's weak drove us crazy. He causes extremism. See...there I go!

Let me get this straight...

A guy who went 75-48, had 8 winning seasons in 10 years, and took you to Atlanta 3 times is the worst SEC football coach? Really?

And he did all of that at Arkansas! Don't get me wrong, I know you guys are the flagship and all but it is not a given that any coach is going to win in Fayetteville. Moreover, he has gone 22-16 at Ole Miss!

What is wrong with some of you Hogs? Does your hate overwhelm common sense that much?

This award belongs to the one person that truly deserves it the most....Curley Hallman. His tenure at LSU was a heaping steaming pile of monkey shite that cannot be matched:

* Four years at LSU, four losing seasons.

* During four seasons in Baton Rouge, he compiled the lowest winning percentage in school history at .364.

* LSU had three consecutive losing seasons for the first time since the early 1950s.

* LSU was shut out 32-0 by Ole Miss on Halloween in 1992.

* 1992's 2-9 season is the worst in LSU's history.

* In 1993, the centennial year of LSU football, the Tigers lost 58-3 to Florida in Tiger Stadium, the worst loss in LSU's history.

* The Auburn game, where LSU blew a 23-9 4th quarter lead by throwing 4 pick 6 int's.

* LSU lost to Curley Hallman's old team, Southern Miss, at Tiger Stadium.

* After LSU, he went on to accomplish the following:
quote:

From 2004 to 2007, he served as head coach at Muscle Shoals High School in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. His first season at Muscle Shoals resulted in a 3–7 record. At the conclusion of the 2007 regular season, the Muscle Shoals Trojans had compiled another dismal 4–6 record, their fourth straight losing season under Hallman. On January 14, 2008, the Muscle Shoals Board of Education accepted Hallman's resignation as head coach.

Hallman was relentless at sucking.

I love the rant and I wish I had thougt more about archer/curley before I logged in after stalking for years but it is what it is . IMHO....Archer may have been a very good coach if he had been seasoned and had not been promoted over his peers(Mangurian,Jenkins) Curley was a result of Joe Dean's idea that he could hire somebody quick and get his arse out of a tight. All of this made life misable for me, you, and especially the players

I never said Hootie was a bad coach. BTW, he didn't take us to atlanta 3 times.

I don't hate Hootie.

Hallman went to tAm, moron. He never played a down at Alabama.

Spending three years as an assistant at UA doesn't make him a Bammer.

He was born a Bama fan and was miffed Bear didn't recruit him. He went back later and coached at Bama before taking the USM gig.

worst coaching job ever was LSU/Auburn 1994 where LSU threw 3 pick 6's in the 4th quarter to lose a 23-9 lead in the 4th quarter. Never seen anything close to this bad ever.

Didn't watch the Bama-Auburn 2010 game? I was pulling for bama, too.
