My aunt and uncle and cousins are ULL and Bama fans. Aunt went to Bama, Uncle went to ULL, and they live in Lafeyette. Cousins grew up rooting for both.

I know a few Bama everything/UK basketball folks. All out of state kids who grew up UKb fans, then attended school at the Captstone.

Uneducated towards the team they pull for

This is the correct answer.

If you want to be a fan of 2 schools bc of some circumstances like where your parents went or you were from one place but went to school at another fine Idc.

What pisses me off to no end is when someone is say a Tenn fan in football then when basketball comes and someone talks shite to them bc we lost or even just asks about a recent game and the person goes "oh I only root for Tenn in football, I root for Memphis in basketball". This blows my mind and I just want to hit them in the face

The kind that buys 276 tickets to a speaking engagement featuring their most recent NC coach and team members, yet buys 981 tickets to the same event in a following year to hear their most hated rival's coach?

The worst comment from them is as follows: "I just wanted to go to school in the south".

Kentucky is only slightly more Southern than West Virginia is western.

I'm questioning how Blake Eddins could be the last SEC player you hated that much with Dave Bliss in the same span.

And yes, I'm totally buying you a Wiltjer jersey for your birthday.

I have known several in this category and they all had something else in common, they had no direct connection to either school..... One graduated from Birmingham Southern, one from UAB and one never went to college......

Bryce is from Vegas. These people are everywhere here.

He's just too young to be a UNLV fan.

I grew up in another state from Tennessee and then went to UT. I don't root for teams in the state that I grew up in.

For instance, MLB fandom in Louisiana is very scattered. There are Astros and Rangers fans due to proximity. Cubs fans due to growing up watching them on WGN. Braves fans because of TBS. I'm a Cardinals fan because my mom's whole side of the family lives in STL and I grew up going to Cardinals games. Those, to me, are all valid reasons. But then there are the front running douches that pull for the Yankees and Red Sox. They are terrible fans.

Its just as bad up here. Obviously, the closest MLB team is the Reds (to the central part of the state anyways). But for those in western KY, its the Cardinals as St. Louis is closer. And, due to WGN and TBS, there are a tone of Cubs and Braves fans as well.

Worst though is the NFL. The closest teama are the Bengals and Colts depending on where you are, but they have perennially sucked (the Manning years excluded). A lot of people in the western part of the state have gradually became Rams fans once they moved to St. Louis, and a lot of people in the southern part of the state gradually became Titans fans when they moved to Nashville. But its shocking to see how many Steelers and Bears fans there are around here when both Pittsburgh and Chicago are about six hour drives from Lexington.

Of course, with Cobb and Masthay both on the Packers now, there are a ton of Packers fans too.

Yeah these kind of fans are up there with the worst. MTSU is our ULL. Some have this weird hatred of all things UT. I had a friend open a restaurant in Murfreesboro that had some sports stuff in it. Some MTSU fan group came by to ensure that MTSU stuff would be displayed or they were going to boycott the place. The sad part is that they really think they are UT's rival.

This sounds like Georgia Southern fans here. Some of them are the most delusional group of people that somewhere along the way they got this ego since they're a pretty good FCS football program...to the point they kinda forgot that FCS isn't FBS.
