These people actually exist somehow:
Tennessee Football/Kentucky Basketball
Tennessee Football/Memphis Basketball
Alabama Football/Vanderbilt Basketball (only when they are good though)
Alabama Football/Kentucky Basketball
There is usually some explanation that consists of my dad was a big fan.

I know a guy from home who is a UK BBall fan and a Bamma Football fan. Drives me nuts. He has no.... I mean NO ties to Alabama. For gods sake I have many many more ties to the state and could care less about them. Bandwagon ho!

To me the worst are the ULL fans around Lafayette that hate LSU more than they actually like ULL, so now they all put Bama stickers on their car and walk around in Bama t-shirts. It's funny to me because for the overwhelming majority of them, their only experience in the state of Alabama is stopping for gas on the way to Panama City.

We also ironically have a few Florida fans and its just weird. Why Florida?
Also the Kentucky/ Tennessee Combo is actually a reality in my family because we live on the border. I have cousins that all went to UT while myself, my brother and some cousins all went to UK.

Yeah these kind of fans are up there with the worst. MTSU is our ULL. Some have this weird hatred of all things UT. I had a friend open a restaurant in Murfreesboro that had some sports stuff in it. Some MTSU fan group came by to ensure that MTSU stuff would be displayed or they were going to boycott the place. The sad part is that they really think they are UT's rival.

I have seen this combo. And it is awful.

meh. If someone went to Middle Tennessee who cares? They may have an Grandad who went to Tennessee and an Uncle who went to Bama but always thought UK had cool school colors growing up. That doesn't account for the fact a lot of people just like to root for a winner.
Bandwagon gonna bandwagon. Personally I can't fathom it because I grew up the son of a die hard Old Ag and married an Ag but I came to grips with bandwagoners after living in Austin for over a decade. At first it would make me angry but then I realized Texas is just the "NFL team" in this town and 90% of the casual fans move on as soon as Texas starts losing. It's hilarious to see some of the kids in my son's class who have parents from California that last year wore Texas gear and this year wear Johnny Football stuff.

We would not be friends. ^
My 90 year old Great Aunt (Grandmothers Sister) lives in Oak Ridge. Loves UT and always gives me shite about going to Kentucky. Specifically football.

I have a friend who likes the Lakers and Yankees. He's been in CA his entire life but never liked the Angels/A's/Dodgers/Giants/Padres for some reason...
Another guy I know has been in NJ his whole life and likes Bama football/Duke basketball.

This is the correct answer.
Just picture in your mind: Self painted camo on a 15 year old Ford F-150, dip of Copenhagen, wife beater shirt & worn out jeans, muddy dingo boots and the very frayed and worn out Bama hat.
It was an honor to contribute to this thread.

The worst are Ohio state fans who come down to Kentucky for school. Dammit I want drag them all back up to the Ohio river and chuck em in.
They are the flat bill, jersey wearing, line beard having, bland food eating, northern superiority having scum of the earth. But they also love Kentucky basketball.
The worst comment from them is as follows: "I just wanted to go to school in the south". *face palm*
