With the dominance of Saban comes the downfall of the Conference. (Football)

Just what I heard from sauces...
Don't shoot the messenger.

But even if those sources are right; and Bama loses this year; it could be a deadly blow for the future of the conference.

Only the gumps can save us now.

So the team killing the SEC is our only hope? Sounds like the situation between the US and a certain country.

i'm rooting against Alabama.

I do think saban's dominance has demoralized the league. but I see three teams picking themselves up off the floor - LSU, Auburn, and Georgia.

Alabama is not only good, but lucky. every team they play suffers critical injuries even though they are already overmatched.

if these three teams can put pressure on saban on start winning again, well, saban is getting long in the tooth.

Go Huskies!

Saban didn't kill the SEC. The lack of offensive innovation in favor of the "Bama model" copy-cat mentality killed the SEC, and allowed Saban full control of the league.

Alabama is a machine. Their recruiting is hurting many other schools in the SEC. When we get in the Sugar Bowl with our team, it should tell you something.

The SEC should be 0-5 in bowls.

Its mostly his free pass to cheat. Of course an 18 year old is going to take a new car over going somewhere he can play and very few are hard core fans of any school. It's why they transfer out after they wise up or disappear. That's talent that would have went to another sec school and helped them win. One or two of those bought 5*s on an Ole Miss or South Carolina can make a huge difference in how good they are.

Meanwhile any school that tries and do the same has the NCAA knocking. Bama has been caught twice for the same thing that OM is being investigated for and didn't even get a second look.

By the time the conference realizes Saban is doing more harm than good it will take years to recover.

Yep. Bama cheating. It's rewarding the conference.

Not with Orgeron and Malzahn. Smart could grow into that kind of coach.

It's not merely hiring a good coach and paying him a good salary. You have to be willing to pay for quality assistants. You have to be willing to pay for other support staff. Sarkisian isn't the first analyst Saban has hired. Put more money into facilities. McElwain and Smart may not have the personalities to have Saban-like success, but they know what you need to have to not just attract top players, but also to de-recruit them when they get on campus.

Cool. It's been coming since Roy Kramer protected UT and to a lesser degree the other SEC programs, and set up Alabama.

Burn it down.
