No. I'm saying that your type of HUNH offense was new to the league last year, and like the wishbone, teams couldn't handle it given a few weeks, but you're gonna see the teams with the superior athletes take a different approach to it this year. Hell, look what FSU did in the 2nd half after playing against it for 2 quarters.
good lord you are dumb

We don't play anyone with superior athletes.

You do realize the fallacy behind your assumption, correct? Nick Marshall will have a full off-season with the WRs and a legit NFL talent as a vertical threat. It is naive to believe AU won't have an overhauled offense compared to last year. A passing game requires a lot of practice with timing between the QB/WR, which AU didn't have last year with Marshall only being on campus a few weeks before week 1.

Did you read the OP's title? Nobody had a lot of time to scheme his offense, but you can bet your arse that Alabama and the rest of the league have gone to school since the season ended. Also, if other teams go to that offensive style, defenses will get more and more experience at stopping it. There's a reason why football fads come and go in college.
I hope Saban works as hard on AU this year as he did trying to stop A%M last year. I heard Phil Savage say on the radio, Saban dedicated the entire off season trying to figure out a way to stop JFF.
If you look at Gus's Offenses over time, they never look the same from year to year. That is why he is not a fad, but the future of College Football.

JFF had a better year in his second year, same will happen here. More passing.
Surely this couldn't be true. How is that possible?

Where in my post did I infer that silly gump? The fact is, he improved throughout the year, and it's perfectly sensible to believe he'll be much improved in 2014. AU's bread and butter will be a deep ball off the play-action, which is more timing and repetition than anything.

Nick doesn't have to be a Peyton fricking Manning next year. All Nick has to be next year is a Mettenburger and bammers will be jumping off bridges.

This thread is incredibly entertaining. OP, you played this perfectly. I'm disappointed in who bit so hard, but that was a very juicy worm.
Did anyone come close to a PM comparison? It was just stated that NM would be a better passer. Gus will be able to run more PA pass or triple options like the tying TD against Alabama. Any improvement will make safeties have to play more traditionally and more eyes will be focused on coverage to further open runninh game. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

The Gus bus is gonna get pulled over this year. His gimmick offense won't pull the same numbers or even as close as what they did last year.
Sorry. I heard that for about eight weeks last year. "That one dimensional O will be shut down this week. Just wait and see". It boils down to execution. There are so many options on every single play that it is hard to contain...........much less stop.

I'm pretty sure blowing a 24 point lead like that at home is worse
That play at the end had never been seen before ever.

They can just watch film on LSUs defense to show how to stop mobile QBs

there is a LOT of ignorance in this thread. well played OP - you cast a small net and exceeded your expected catch

The offense is so simplistic it's very hard to stop. I think it might be slightly less dominant due to Mason leaving but will still be damn good. Fwiw, I have Bama VS Auburn deciding the West.
