the UCLA comeback over A&M.

UCLA also provided the "Route 66" win over Texas in Austin.

Miami ridiculing Texas during the entire game at the Cotton Bowl after the 1990 season was right up there. It was like watching a comedy show. To this day, I laugh when I think about the Miami guy who caught the long touchdown pass, runs into the end zone, runs up the Cotton Bowl tunnel and doesn't come back. Then about a minute later he comes strolling back into the stadium and back to the bench.

Honestly, watching Alabama honk Miami in that 1992 Sugar Bowl was my favorite non-OU game

To this day I've never seen a more obnoxious trash talking bunch to match that Miami team and I enjoyed all of their subsequent losses over the years.

I remember all the trash both them and the media were spouting about this being a complete mismatch and another team would maybe have made it a decent game.

Turns out they were right. A team other than Miami might have given us a good game.

Not sure they count as a rival, but I remember watching Tulsa beat Notre Dame in South Bend. I was chuckling about that one for days.

LSU-Florida in 2020 was peak schadenfreude for me.

Might have been the happiest experience of that otherwise terrible year

That was hilarious. Gators throw a shoe, lose and get the coach fired. I laughed all night.

Texas gave plenty of ammo just last year. Home loss to Kansas obviously.

But that collapse against OU was hilarious. And getting their shite absolutely pushed in against Arkansas.

I guess Bama and Auburn are similar levels of “rival” for lsu, but I did enjoy the kick six a lot.

Every game I thought of involved similar scenarios. A rival was upset, but the winning team could also be considered a rival.

Rivalries can fluctuate. Alabama was a much bigger rival than Auburn in 2013, so I think that qualifies.

My choice was Stanford upsetting USC in 2007, even though LSU hadn’t played USC since the 80’s.

They were rivals in the BCS rankings and the AP poll. The 2007 was such a crazy season during a prime era for the sport. It somehow makes sense the most satisfying loss was by a team we never play.

I mean, kU loses all the time so it kinda takes the fun out of it

I will say I enjoyed last year's OU-kU game - the beakers actually thought they had a chance to beat OU and even opened the stadium to literally anyone (for free!) to come watch. And then Caleb Williams happened lol

Whoops
