WINNERS
LSU-in the court of public opinion, they tried to make this game happen, but were overruled.
AUBURN*/MSU-game moved from SEC Network to ESPN. Bigger audience.
JIM DELANEY-Big 10 Commish is kicking up his feet, drinking a scotch, smoking a cigar and laughing at inept SEC Commish Greg Sankey.

LOSERS
UNIV OF FLORIDA-Unwillingness to move game to Baton Rouge or anywhere else(Jordan-Hare stadium is right up the road and empty this weekend) begs the question: are they afraid of facing a resurgent LSU?
JEREMY FOLEY-One of the SEC's Top all-time AD's taints his legacy right as he retires.
GREG SANKEY-SEC Commish shows when it comes to making tough decisions, he's no Mike Slive.
UNIV OF TENN-Scenario could happen that a 1-loss UF could go to SECCG instead of a 2-loss UT, despite UT winning head to head.

Do you see any Florida fans melting? LSU fans? Tennessee fans?

I would put UGA in the loser category (I know, the jokes write themselves on that intro)...almost a sure loss for UF that now isn't happening, also a tough physical game that they don't have to play anymore. Basically get 2 byes in 3 weeks leading up to our game.

I disagree on Foley. Foley put his foot down. They were asked to give up a home game in favor of playing on the road against LSU 3 consecutive years. He said frick that and frick the court of public opinion. Balls of steel. Good for UF.

Dude, "the public" doesn't post on this shitty message board. 99% of the public only knows about thsi game what the TV tells them or what friends pass along. The overwhelming majority of people look at this game as "oh wow, game got canceled. That's crazy", they aren't choosing sides or diving into which AD supposedly did or didn't make certain provisions in negotiations.

Bruce Feldman was on the Dan Patrick show & said "league insiders are saying that this...game being cancelled..would never have happened under Slive. And it is cancelled unless the SEC or gators pony up the $6M it will take to make LSU break even on losing a home game; lost game revenues plus the buyout to S.Alabama.

He got paid a weeks salary to have his secretary check the weather.gov app once a day.

Well that's what it should be, but reality is Florida are the real winners. They avoid an L and clear their path to the SEC championship.

LSU and Tenn are big losers here.

I doubt public opinion is gonna make LSU sleep better knowing they're a game down from everybody else in the west.

He could've agreed to play the game on Sunday or Monday, in Gainesville. He declined. There is zero reason for this game to not be played at all this weekend.

Foley wouldn't agree to play in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday either. He won because he gave Florida a leg up in the SEC east without playing a game. All he did was show how weak Stankey is as a commissioner

Pretty ballsy to cancel an arse whipping, because you have no faith your team can win. That sure is balls of steel right there.

"Foley put his foot down"? S.Carolina last yr wanted TO PLAY THE GAME according to their fans who came down last year under the same exact circumstances. Foley represented FLa well, I agree. But that is nothing to brag about when his fan base are all agreeing that they are glad it got cancelled for on the field competitive reasons. And it would have been easy enough to play next year's game in The Swamp. Another proposal the gators did not offer.
