It is a tossup game. Should be a great atmosphere, I expect a record crowd.

I'll be pulling for Tenn to win until then. I want it to be a top 25 matchup for both of us.

We should be undefeated going into that game. I hope our coaching staff learned it's lesson from last night not to overlook a cream puff. You still have to prepare for the game and play your starters until you have a 4TD lead.

We didn't play to win last night, we played "not to lose".

Also I have yet to be convinced Tyler Russell can accurately wipe his own arse

WOW. I can't believe you said that. Have you watched a Staye game this year. Russell is not the problem. Dude delivers with laser precision.

We play them later in the year and WIlson will be back. Who you takin?

I think we beat Arkansas easily. They will be a broken down defeated team by then and probably given up on the season.

Plus I don't think Wilson makes it that long without injury. I hope he stays healthy, but with that shitty OL any decent team is going to bring the pain.

This.

I don't see our receivers as a problem. Bumphis is looking very, very good. Our entire receiving core looked great against Auburn and had some great catches.

Last night was a result of lack of focus, and I don't see us having that problem against SEC competition. Plus a couple of the big drops were Morrow, who doesn't even start. He is young and has some work to do, but he will end up being very good imo.

Since Fla surprised everyone, even Coach MusLoser and beat Tenn, it nows looks even better for Ms State.

Will a loss at State cost Dooley his job?

I say yes.

There's pretty much no way he survives a loss to Mississippi State. He would probably have to beat Georgia or Alabama.

FWIW, I hope y'all are undefeated going into the game as well. Some ppl in this thread might not believe me but I almost always root for state and pull for them to do well but I still have an opinion on things

As far arky/state even with Wilson back and I expect Arkansas to get it together a little bit as it can't stay this bad with all the talent they have, I think state wins fairly easily

Arkansas doesn't have talent outside of Wilson. Petrino was winning with smoke and mirrors.

Just hope he gets a big name because that's what we need

Well, you clearly didn't go "big name" when you picked Dooley.

I never did get that hire. As I recall, Dooley has little to no success in the WAC. What made anyone think he would be more successful
in the SEC?

IIRC, we pretty much had no other options. Kiffin left VERY late in the hiring calendar and there just wasn't many coaches out there who would take the job more qualified than Dooley.

Heck we even tried to get Cuttcliff but he wanted to bring assistants with him and the school wouldn't let him.

Cuttcliff always having issues with assistants

Not to worry. He missed the Ole Miss score by 52 points total yesterday so his prediction means we win by 32.

Well last night we started dropping balls so I'm not sure if speed really will make a difference. Plus I doubt overall we are faster than state

I knew I wouldn't get away with that but didn't want to spend the time trying to figure out how to word it better

If we play like we did last night, UT will beat us by 100.

We have a game like that every season under Mullen. If we suck this week then I'll be worried.
