I only know the SEC record. 1-0 TAMU. And it was a snoozefest.

Wow, that was a horrific article. So essentially the idea is that the SEC is going to get taken down by the NCAA for so much rampant cheating that the league folds? Yet he completely ignores the fact the SEC is the LEAST penalized league by the NCAA over the last decade and it isn't close.

This is akin to calling Bleacher Report a consortium of journalist.

Probably only from the standpoint that, at some point, A&M will win 3 conference championships in a row i.e. '39,'40,'41 / '85,'86,'87 / '91,'92,'93

Yeah. Phil was paying Tee Martin while snitching on Bama. While I'm glad it happened. We bringing in the best coach available, instead of another member of the good ol boy network.

It had to be terrible being an Arky fan during the swc yrs. Every team you played had Texas across their jersey.

Not to mention that all of the refs were from Texas as well.

This article is garbage.

1. The SWC had 2 big time schools, 1 middle tier school, and a bunch of non-BCS caliber schools. That just would not fly. It had nothing to do with SMU and cheating. The SWC would have died even if SMU was never given the death penalty. And the SEC is going along just fine even though Alabama makes regular visits to NCAA jail ever 15 years or so.

2. The author totally misreads the hatred between Texas and Texas A&M. Texas A&M hates Texas with a passion. Texas does not hate A&M. A&M is a non entity to them. They do not exist. They are a blip on the radar, no bigger than Texas-Pan American. That is how arrogant UT is...everyone hates them but they are too high and mighty to care about those other texas schools.

It could. When the needs of the few (Bama, UGA, Auburn and Tenn) override the needs of the many (The rest of the SEC).

I can assure you that they definitely do hate us every bit as much as we hate them, even more so now that we've left. Their arrogance just won't allow them to admit anything like that.

From an unbiased outside spectator, this is the vibe I've gotten as well.

You obviously don't live here, or the only Texans you know are 17.

I will recall an interaction I had for one of my friend's birthday's in Houston, we will call him Teasip A. Teasip B and I were out at a bar talking about the SEC/Big 12/tu/A&M/Johnny Manziel etc.

Teasip B was telling me how OU was their only rival, and all that nonsense, etc. Every Aggie knows it is a ploy, but I was playing along. He knows my background, and my dislike for Oklahoma, something we've bonded over in our formative years. Teasip B is 24/25, so his last 10 years, he's only really remembered the most intense and nationally relative time in the Red River Shootout. The winner(and one time loser) of that game, went to the BCS Title 5 times in a 9 year span. That is on par with LSU/Alabama. That is one thing I cannot, nor would ever, discount, especially knowing the pure and unadulterated loathsome hatred the Sooners have for teasips; and not only the burnt orange, but everything south of the Red River.

I was more so making the argument to him(he's very arrogant regardless of school affiliation, but that very much so perpetuates it. Senior year of high school when people in Church had to announce where they were going to college, he was the only person, after hearing many Whoops, to saying I am going to THE, university of texas), that while Oklahoma might be your primary rival, undoubtedly the rivalry with A&M was more intense, THIS year. Yet, he has been a student, and now in law school, has been very sheltered from things outside of Austin and Dallas, sticking to his guns. Part of their party line is to constantly diminish us, and had Teasip B been the only one to keep up the argument, we would have come to a draw.

Fortunately for me, it was teasip A's birthday. And we were in Houston dropping too much money buying that overly douchey thing known as bottle service, and buying lots of it. We were drunker than a Red Raider backstage waiting for their 5 minutes of fame on Maury Povich. Teasip A works for some accounting/finance thing in Houston, and has many interactions with Aggies/teasips/Rice grads, and even has mentioned how those three dominate his industry, and favoritism among them is out of control, but super awesome.

Teasip A heard teasip B make the statement, and the context is confusing, but it was spearheaded in to one of the most delicious rants I have ever heard in my life, which will obviously be paraphrased... but it went like this;

TeLeFaWx: You have to admit you hate Manziel...

Teasip B: Me and everyone would say that they hate Landry Jones far more than Manziel

Teasip A overhears this. Stops what he is doing and joins our friendly discussion.

Teasip A: I fricking hate Johnny Manziel. All I heard about all fricking year was Manziel this, Manziel that, and I didn't believe it. I couldn't believe what he did to Oklahoma. That was frickign incredible.

TeLeFaWx: Wait, you hadn't seen him before that? Like the Alabama game?(shocking as we are all so incredibly die hard college football fans, I found this unbelievable and absolutely impossible)

Teasip A: No. I refused. I refused to watch a second of it. I was so sick of hearing about the SEC, and A&M, and maroon disgusts me. I saw highlights here and there if I had to, but I refused to watch any games with y'all in it. I was so sick of y'all even before y'all played a single game in the SEC. I get it from all fricking angles.

TeLeFaWx: Hahaha, you know how happy this makes me?

Teasip A: I don't care. Oklahoma beat us this year, and I didn't care. At all. I just have never been more disgusted than hearing shite after y'all beat Alabama. That was the lowest point of the season. And then that Cotton Bowl. I fricking hate Johnny Manziel.

TeLeFaWx: More than Landry?

Teasip A: Of course. I would take Landry to dinner. I would try and break Manziel's knee cap if I ever saw him.

Teasip B: Non Sequitur.

This is a gross paraphrasing of the conversation, and I was extremely intoxicated, and teasip A and teasip B fit in many more insults I am sure, and I really feel like it was a 15 minute interaction from beginning to end, but as much as I don't exactly remember, I'll never forget it.

The events of the last 3 years paint a different picture.

Also, for the record, even mentioning the steers and queers is like the bat-signal shaped like a giant cock for the sips who troll the rant.

Why doesn't Texas fall into Mexico?

Agree with this, and have done this, not in Houston though.

Because Oklahoma sucks.

The fact that Louisiana blows keeps Texas from moving east.
