I can see why you guys had such a prolonged coaching search.
I know, man! I mean just look at his time at Florida! Such a record-setting 4 years. Probably the best 4 years of football for that program. Muschamp's legendary, and he does it all with such a calm mindset.

You must have really had to pursue him hard to lure an elite coach like him away from Auburn. Auburn's elite defense this year will surely take a hit with him gone.
I really do feel for Auburn, they're losing a lot in that man. But, we all lose some eventually.

What a great hire!

Great hire for USCe. He'll have a defense that will keep the Cocks in every game. After his Florida experience he'll probably take a different tact with his offense but I expect Muschamp to be a winner for USCe.
Now the question is does Will hang around to coach Auburns Bowl game? HELL NO!

Yeah, you would think so...but I'm extremely pessimistic about it. 28-21 record just rubs me the wrong way.

I've been saying it for days now. Going to end up being a good hire.

You're a good sport, I like you. If you ever want to apply for the Mizzou board I'll put in a good word for you friend.

My gosh, what has your AD been doing all of these months? This is going to be a disaster.

Welp.. it is what it is, this that n' the other what not n' so forth.

Honestly, y'all should probably hope for one of those "last minute snags" the piece mentions. Boom is a great defensive mind, but he's never come close to demonstrating he can elevate a program as HC in the absence of top-line talent. If he couldn't get it done at UF, how's he going to get it done at a program that will be facing a significant percentage of the teams he struggled with at UF...but with less talent?
I'd take him as our DC in a heartbeat (not that we need him. Offense is our tragedy.) But not as HC.

He just doesn't need to make the same mistakes he made with the Florida offense, hire a proven OC and let him do his thing. The defense and recruiting will work itself out

I just don't take it too seriously. I mean sure, I made those threads, but I wasn't as angry as it may have seemed in the text. I just think we're fricked. Not too angry about it, I just know it.
And if we're not fricked, then I guess I'll be partying with the rest of the Gamecock fans while we watch Bert fly through the sky over the magical rainbow.
But hey, to you too.

I see someone finally RA'd you with that GIF as your avatar.
Hunker down man. I hear the South Carolina fan base is a very loyal one even after being irrelevant for the longest time before Spurrier. That loyalty will likely be tested again in the next few years. We'll see if you still post on here or not in the future.

I wonder how close Carolina was to getting Tom Herman. Seems like things went wild after he dropped out of the running.

Funny how this would've been the best news ever for Gamecock fans exactly a year ago.... now.. not so much. I'm cautiously optimistic. No way we could put an offense out on the field as bad as those UF ones....... right?
Right?
Right?

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.
Get ready for some possible legendary shite if he hasn't learned his lesson after being Florida's HC.

Everyone over there on 24/7 loves the hire?
What are they smoking?
A failed head coach that followed up failing at head coaching by having his worst ever performance as a defensive coordinator.
I tried to tell people South Carolina is a bottom of the barrel power 5 program (which history confirms) but they didn't believe.
To another generation of futility
