If Muschamp was smart, he would get his agent to include a 10 or 15 million dollar penalty into the contract if he doesn't replace Spurrier. That would prevent South Carolina from lying to him

Don't think it will be an official HCIW tag. But Tanner will give him assurances that he is next in line.

No link. Just passing info I've heard from credible sources.

he's hearing it from his Scout subscription.

The Scout SCAR site is tripling down on this, but there are no other sources.

Done Deal - Muschamp coming to South Carolina
Sources confirm Muschamp is coming to South Carolina and will be bringing some of his defensive coaches from Florida.

Sources have confirmed that Will Muschamp will be South Carolina's new Defensive Coordinator. Sealing the deal is the opportunity to be South Carolina's Head Coach when Spurrier retires. Muschamp plans to bring several of his defensive coaches from Florida.
Muschamp's estimated salary will be $1.6 - $1.9 million.
Muschamp chose SC over Auburn.
So far, sources indicate Grady Brown (secondary coach) and Kirk Botkin (linebacker coach) will be leaving. More information to be released as received."

He's usually reliable.

You do realized that if he does come to Carolina even on that premise when spurrier does decide to hang it up they could easily pay out the rest of his contract and go after another head coach. If he is indeed offered some type of head coach in waiting incentive. Moreover, there is no concrete evidence that he was offered the head coach in waiting title that's nothing more than a rumor that keeps getting recycled by ppl who can't come up with another rational reason for shy muschamp would go to Carolina over other programs

If you had to fire WM & hire a new coach then what you have described would be considered a disaster.

Lying?

Can you even spell Bowden or, an easy one: Dye. It even rhymes with lie.

Spurrier doesn't like to fire coaches. He is giving them time to find new jobs before the new sheriff comes to town. At that point the weak links will be dismissed

Your jimmies, they have been rustled.

How about Holtz? Didn't he get more schools put on probation than any other coach in the history of college football? Aren't you on probation right now?

$1.6-1.9 million. Our HC doesn't make much more than that.
