If he would have hired a good OC? It was his choice each time...

Can't possibly imagine why SC would be ok with him becoming their HC anytime soon. He has had 3 different opportunities to find an OC. At this point, it is pretty clear it is not so much them as it his is ulta-conservative mindset.

Obviously y'all are more desperate than everyone else since you are the only team that will promise him a head coaching job.

How do you figure? All the other schools offering him a head coaching gig tacked on?

No one with a rational, non-USCe brain would be able to.

frick I just wanted him as a DC. If Malzahn was in his 70s Id say "frick That". He's a proven product on defense, but is that who you want as your head coach? I almost feel sorry yall were that desperate for him. I still don't see anyone confirming it but if you want to give him the HCIW status you can have him. Your program is going to drop immensely when he becomes your HC.

Nobody else is offering a failed HC their future HC job. You missed the desperate part of your offer

If the Head coach is on the table then you would be very wrong.

It's too hard to believe that it isn't just message board fodder/desperation.

I can see Muschamp going to SC. Expectations will be much lower and the fan base will be happy going to bowl games.
Much less pressure to win.

The HCIW tag, being floated around from USCe, is a head scratcher. Will would be a great DC for whoever gets him, but damn.

If he would have hired a good OC he would still have a job. Our defense will be respectable again. This year was a debacle. Lorenzo Ward was clueless.

This is why everyone is asking why would you want him to be your HC. If yall do hire him with the HCIW status then the league is going to be pointing their finger laughing at SC.

I had a feeling SC was gonna win the Boomstakes..

Another ex-Fla HC to run USCe in time.

SOS has maybe 3 more years tops?

You do realized that if he does come to Carolina even on that premise when spurrier does decide to hang it up they could easily pay out the rest of his contract and go after another head coach. If he is indeed offered some type of head coach in waiting incentive. Moreover, there is no concrete evidence that he was offered the head coach in waiting title that's nothing more than a rumor that keeps getting recycled by ppl who can't come up with another rational reason for shy muschamp would go to Carolina over other programs

1. That is based on the premise that Will Muschamp is stupid... he isn't

2. There are several rational reasons he would not go to USCe over Auburn
a. He loves Auburn
b. His family loves Auburn
c. He's already coached at Auburn
d. His potential for rebuilding his reputation is easier at Auburn

I was going to ask for a tweeted source, but I just shook my head realizing that I've now started using tweets as official word.
