And that doesn't make it excusable. People voted for slavery and Jim crow laws. Should have never been put up for a vote

Sir, it's a flag. That flag represents the south. That's why it was allowed to stay. I don't believe the majority of Mississippi are racist, but believe in their state's right to represent itself however they choose. Black and White voted in 2001.

And I don't think people from Mississippi are racist. But its not just a flag, its a symbol, and it shouldn't be on a state flag

No it doesn't. It's not the actual flag the Confederacy flew. It's a flag the KKK and segregationists adopted in their quest against blacks. Even if it were the official flag of the Confederacy, the Confederacy lost. It's time to move on, and take the flag with it. If someone wants to still fly it on their personal property, fine, but it has no place on government grounds or on state flags, no matter the will of the people.
