Notre Dame's SOS was higher than Alabama's last year by over 20 spots. Didn't help them a bit.

Is that what you meant?

What conference was Alabama in again?

Missouri #2 in the SEC in run defense and 14th in the nation with something like 119 yards or so per game

I meant that there were questions about them stopping AU's run via the spread (granted, that's the question that posed about every AU opponent). Their DEs are known more for their pass rushing skills, but there were questions about how they (in a position that is critical to stopping AU's rush attack) would perform vs AU.

So your argument is that SOS is a really important measure when it makes your point. And not when it doesn't. Got it.

But hey, drop the F bomb a couple of more times and just tell us we're not paying attention.

You haven't paid any fricking attention to FSU, know jack fricking shite about your opponent.

All you see is "ACC", and this is fricking foolish.

Mr Miyagi must be smoking crack. I can't hardly debate here because half the posts are trolls but the facts are that the ACC-Atlantic conference is one peg above the AAC.

I get that the ACC, especially the Atlantic division, sucks.

That doesn't mean FSU sucks, and AU's defense is magically going to become '92 Bama.

You want to see crack smoking, see the OP.

But it does mean FSU will look a lot better than in years past. That's not attributable to their skill, but to the skill of their opponents.

The strength of schedule lesson is what the SEC has been teaching the nation since AU got hosed in 2004.

You mean when AU's SOS kept them out of the title game?

You're a trolling fricking fool.

I'm not even reading your shite anymore.

Auburn is literally terrible in every aspect of the game that doesn't deal with running the football.

no... auburn is average in PPG and above average in TFLs/Sacks as well as TFLs/Sacks allowed.... special teams are also some of the best in the nation. Redzone efficiency on both sides of the ball is also solid (19th nationally on offense... 7th nationally on defense).

For Auburn to win the national championship in Pasadena, we will have beaten 3 straight top 5 teams... has that ever been done in history? Two of the teams would also feature #1 and #2 in the Heisman balloting.

You right, it doesn't mean FSU sucks....what it means is that FSU may not be tested. Can they blow out Idaho? Or actually any team by the 3rd Q? We know this answer but what happens in the 4th? Down by two scores? Can they recover?

We don't know this answer....this is what a tough schedule answers. We laugh at Aub's 3 miracle wins...but we neglect to remember--- Aub was down 7 points to the number one team in the nation with 45 seconds left....and beat them by 6- that's intense man.

FSU soft schedule last year caused them to lose to UF and I think will be to their detriment this game.

They are 109th in passing offense, 66th in rushing defense, 102nd in passing defense and 90th in total defense. All of the previous SEC champions had to deal with tough schedules too and they were never that bad statistically.

But...... But...... But...... The SEC has won 7 in a row!!
The ACC is a bad conference!!
Everyone said AU would lose to ______, yet we won! (except the LSU game)

And that's how that game ended.

They gave up a 20 point lead in less than 12 minutes.

Pivotal, my arse.

That's what people said about Notre Dame last year before they played Alabama in the national championship game. We all saw how that turned out.

Truth.

It doesn't matter how "gutty" you are when you're outmatched on both lines.

Auburn is outmatched on the O and D lines...period.

Bama is probably the only team that could've pulled off the margin of victories FSU did this season.... FSU is the clear #1 team in the nation.

Truth.

Rational Aubbie.

Auburn can win this game...anyone can win a game...Auburn has proven that.

But in most rational minds...Auburn is a decided underdog...and for good reasons.

It's literally false...

National Rank...

7th Redzone Defense
19th Redzone Offense
20th Sacks Allowed per Game
23rd Punt Returns
24th Passer Rating
30th Penalty YPG
37th TFLs per Game
37th TFLs allowed per Game
38th Score Defense

the great thing about this team is it's year one of a totally new coaching staff and will return 15 starters next year.
