The what if game is stupid. Our running back got over 120 yards IIRC on 9 touches. After he went out we didn't score again. We score 56 if he stays in.
And you'd still lost.

We lost. What ifs are irrelevant. That was my point. But you're not all that bright. So I have to provide high context to low context individuals.

Clemson was no #3 team but I understand why you have to pad your schedule- USCe (prob 5th best in the SEC) beat them...pretty cleanly
No one is saying that FSU isn't legit...just y'all played a weak schedule ....and 3 teams in the SEC could have done that. Why you so mad?

And their competition really brought that out? Every year there's a team from a conference with no competition that looks completely unbeatable, and when they face the SEC they suck.
The only SEC team they played, they beat by 30. Granted, it was UF and the worst offense ever, but their defense is still light years ahead of AU's.
ETA: and this FSU team is playing with the same highly coveted recruits that SEC teams go after.
This isn't Ohio State, Notre Dame, or Oregon

Auburn has the 38th ranked scoring defense in the country. They play in the SEC West.
Maybe it's a good time to review some stats.
The SEC has won 7 straight BCS NCGs.
In one BCS NCG it was two SEC West teams facing off against each other.
The last 4 BCS NCGs were either won by Auburn or Alabama, both in the SEC West.
But by all means, let's compare stats between Auburn and a team that played in the ACC!

Because some clown just said Ole Miss and Arkansas would have blown out all of FSU's opponents.
Because that's doing - "what FSU did."
So if you really want to say what FSU did - you have to include blowing out everyone by halftime.
This isn't Notre Dame or Ohio State squeeking by on a weak schedule.
Quit trying to act like it is and changing the point of discussion.
Sure, 3 or 4 SEC teams could eek out an undefeated season with FSU's schedule.
But 3 or 4 SEC teams aren't blowing everyone out on FSU's schedule - that is damn sure.

Vanderbilt scored 34 on Florida.

Our D was depleted and held FSU to three points until mid of the 2nd Q....and that was with lots of 3 and outs by the Offense

Florida has a better scoring defense than yours statistically if scoring defense is the one you want to compare.

Nope. At least 4 teams would've blown out everyone on FSUs schedule.
Especially if they have to run up the score to look like a legit contender over Alabama and Oregon.

a handful of key plays kept the SECCG from being a blowout well before auburn was able to ice the game in the 4th.... but that's football. credit goes to mizzou for recovering the two fumbles... and refs fricking up is part of the game.

i disagree.... neither UGA or USCe blew out Clemson.... hell, UGA should've lost to GT.
Bama is probably the only team that could've pulled off the margin of victories FSU did this season.... FSU is the clear #1 team in the nation.

Mizzou had a shite arse line and lame arse linebackers.
FSU D > Bama's D and it's not like Auburn ran all over Bama.
This is how I know you're full of shite.
A) Mizzou had one of the most highly touted D-lines coming into the SECCG
B) Auburn had almost 300 rush yards against Bama (296 IIRC) I'd call that running all over them.

Georgia would have too even with the injuries and Grantham.
Considering they lost to Clemson (when healthy, might I add), I'm going to disagree.
There is no disputing that FSU played a pathetic shchedule though

Yep and Vandy scored 34. FSU 37.
UF has the 3rd best scoring defense in the SEC. Missouri btw 4th, I bet before someone scored 59 that you were higher than 4th.
But if you want to look at Auburn's scoring defense keep in mind Auburn faced the #1, #3, #4 and #5 scoring offenses in the SEC and beat all of them. (A&M, Missouri, Alabama & Georgia)
The #2 scoring offense is Auburn. Keep in mind the A&M game finished with Auburn stuffing A&Ms drive, Alabama was held on their second to last drive and allowed Auburn to tie it, Georgia had a 4th quarter comeback but ended with Dee Ford hitting Murray and against Missouri Auburn went on a 28-7 run in the last 18 minutes. That requires the defense to play extremely well at the end of the game.
Auburn's defense does the job at pivotal times.
