lots of coaches get some HS experience before moving up to a college staff, and a lot of times their first college role will be with S&C. Harris worked for a short time at Stan Hope, but he went to HS at Jeff Davis. He was a walk on at Bama under Shula. He doesn't have near the football pedigree of some of the other S&C coaches, but he was a nice, young, likable guy and he got along well with the players.

Saban has lost plenty of coaches over the years. He has a knack for hiring the right guys and also replacing them when they leave. Not worried one bit. yes, he was important. The next guy will be just as good and wont lose a step.
