Even you, the biggest, blind homer who has ever walked the earth, can't believe that your school is currently lily white clean (and has been since the 90s).

Bama has always been the most notorious cheater to those in the know. They are just damn good at it. Almost professional, my hats off to them, they are undisputed National Champs of Cheating in Football hands down.

Always? Really? But just to those "in the know". I assume that would mean football coaches, reporters, those in athletic administration, etc.
That's interesting. Makes me wonder why Saban, who would undoubtedly qualify as being "in the know", have chosen to come to Bama. I mean, we KNOW he cheats at Bama and that he NEVER did so at LSU (cause they soooo clean and shiny).

You were the first post since May, unless something was deleted.

I think you could probably take a look at a program's economic standing alone and see who is most apt to cheat in order to get ahead.
Usually the athletic programs that don't make much money have to take money from their university in order to remain competitive, like Auburn. Auburn athletics doesn't make much money, so they take more money from Auburn University than anyone else in the league.
Then there are outliers like Alabama and Georgia. Both Alabama and Georgia bring in a pretty fair amount of money each year, but still require large amounts of subsidies each year, for whatever reason. Another I would look at is Florida. They don't take as much money from outside sources as Alabama or Georgia, but they still take around 2,000,000 a year, and make more money in revenue than either Alabama OR Georgia.
Of course, the Mississippi schools are flat broke. So it's pretty apparent why Ole Miss decided to cheat. They needed to drive up demand for their product, because their entire program was teetering on becoming insolvent.
Same with Mississippi State.
BTW, Kentucky is basically broke right now. They make absolutely NO money and take no subsidies. And we all KNOW that their basketball program is as dirty as it gets. Next step is the Ole Miss route. Wonder if they can do better...
Interesting thing is that the big dogs don't seem to have any sort of spotlight on their programs. Everyone seems to think, "It's Alabama. They don't NEED to cheat." bullshite. They all cheat, and anyone with a brain knows it. Their financial statements will tell a clever man just how much they cheat.

And yeah, I was trying to say in that thread I created a few days ago that this would be Saban's last year at Alabama. If for no other reason than the fact that the spotlight is moving his direction.
He will get out of dodge before anything serious comes down the pike.

"subsidies" arent always taking money from the school. a lot of the time its the school paying the AD for use of certain things, or the school paying the AD for student tickets, etc..

Ed, that entire post is ridiculous...just ridiculous.

Uh, no. When Auburn University pays the Auburn Athletic Department over 4,000,000 dollars, that isn't the school paying the AD for use of the gymnasium.
Get real, man.
And for the 2014-2015 season, Auburn posted a net profit (before subsidies) of less than 10 million dollars.
That isn't much by SEC standards.
But don't despair, Kentucky barely made a mill. And took NO extra money.

It's required by Alabama law, if I remember correctly. Regardless, neither Alabama or auburn needs the money the universities are subsidizing. Plus, they kick back 10 fold to scholarships and infrastructure improvements.

Uh, yes. What is reported at AU and Bama as subsidies are ticket revenue and reimbursements. Your theory also fails to take into account all these schools also pay the university out of their revenues as a means to give back

By this statement it's pretty obvious you don't understand institutional finances like this. Profit means nothing. Revenue is king, Arky might want to catch up.
