An offensive line doesn't dictate how good a running back is.

It has a hand in dictating stats, which can ultimately be misleading.
That's not what everybody was saying about Trent Richardson...you can't have it both ways.

With all of this talk regarding Bo Davis and his resignation from Alabama due to his involvement in recruiting violations (which is now an ongoing NCAA investigation - linky), will Alabama be placed on probation and become the SEC's most probation stricken football team?

As of now, Auburn has been on probation a total of 11 seasons. As of now, Alabama has been on probation a total of 10 seasons. Additionally, all 10 years of Alabama's probation have been since 1995, which happens to be the last year Auburn was on probation.

Auburn = 11 total
1956-1958 (3)
1958-1960 (3)
1979 -1981 (3)
1993-1995 (2)

Alabama = 10 total
1995-1996 (2)
2002-2006 (5)
2009-2011 (3)

Probably not.
Also, unless they are taking schollies or banning you from a bowl, is it really probation? That 2009 to 11, meh, I don't even remember that one. Wasn't that a fishing trip or something? Anyway, technically its probation but in reality you're not being punished.

Also, there is no "investigation" going on. The NCAA website is the best source for that. They have an infractions page and Bama isn't listed as ongoing.
The NCAA spoke with our compliance but there is no investigation. Not to say there won't be but as of right now the NCAA is not at Bama

I didn't dig it up. It was about the 3rd or 4th thread down on the front page when I opened it up this morning and I didn't pay any attention to the dates...go figure.

Looks like I gave it some gas and now it's up and running again!

Number of major cases is one indicator, but we all know the NCAA has historically had selective prosecution. Its all a shell game. All cases and punishments are not the same. When it comes to cheating Bama has had three cases since Auburn saw the light and stopped cheating in football. The NCAA has redesigned their Major Infractions database. As an EXAMPLE, Auburn's 1980 case was an continuation of the 79 case and included one year of probation, but no sanctions. NEW LOOK DATABASE NCAA

The SEC leads the field with 67.

Gotta hand it to you TT.

You went fishing with 3 month old bait and you're reeling them in so fast you can't keep a line in the water.

Well done.
