Aggie fans were relatively modest about their team this offseason. Sure they trolled other people but I didn't hear many of their own fans crowning themselves.

No. Why would we? Sumlin is only on Year Three of a program rebuild.
Domination of Texas was Step One and has been accomplished. Doing likewise to the SEC is next.

Oh you mean the 3 teams that have won the 5 of the last 7 national championships? Every team you listed has finished a season living up to the expectations at least once since 2007.
And definitely more than once (each) since 1939.

If aggy really believed the projections were correct, aggy wouldn't be so upset for living up to the expectations set forth.
This mean every aggy would remain in their seats during the 4th quarter to witness aggy living up to expectations, not hitting the exits early while discussing no doubt they are better than the "whorns" this year.

AGS problem is rhat , while the were reasonable with their off season expectations this year. They bought full into the SC hype (so did everybody else). But, they started crowing about the greatness of sumlin, hill, and the 12 men while frickstomping the sisters of the poor.
Pair all of that up with their behavior the last two years and they come off as obnoxious DB's who have never been there.
Perception is reality.

Obnoxious behavior is rampant all over this board. We see it from every fan base. Not just the mean ole Aggies...
Reality is that many on the Rant had to eat a LOT of crow regarding A&M in 2012, and got a little upset about it. Some have moved on. We can see who hasn't.
And then there are South Carolina fans who are still upset over yell practice...
