Over schools who are closer such as Tennessee and Georgia?

Rumor is that this is the likely destination for Mississippi State's bowl and fans aren't very happy. Most would prefer the Music City Bowl in Nashville or in a perfect world one of the Bowls in Florida.

Probably because they didn't want to deal with the cowbells.

Don't lose so many games and you can pick whichever bowl you want.

These bowls make a lot more sense for State.

True but we have the same number of wins as do A&M, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Not that Auburn gets to leave the state, but you can have them.

If the fanbase doesn't travel, you go to crappy places.

I guess they have more power with Bowl reps.

Out of the 6 the SEC has in their mix (Outback, Texas, Libety, Music City, Gator, and Belk)

Mississippi State gets whats left and its the Belk which is played outside of SEC country. In freaking North Carolina

We travel well to Memphis but were there 2 years ago and they supposedly want Arky.

Belk Bowl is played in an NFL stadium so thats one of the positives but It'll be in the 30s there in late December.

I will take Charotte, North Carolina over Orange Mound in Memphis any day of the week.

Besides drink in the lobby of the Peabody and look at fishing line in the Pyramid, what else will you do in Memphis that you can't do in Charlotte? Besides get double murdered?

Its a drivable trip for fans. Cheaper for fans. Easier to go to for me personally. If Im driving 10-11 hours or flying Im wanting to go to Florida not Charlotte where theres a chance of snow.
