He won’t. He wanted the Bama job and they thought they were too good. Auburn was smart enough to offer him. He took it. He won’t leave.

Well how could someone who's so triggered by bama they choose it as their user name possibly be wrong?

I would be embarrased to have that slimy shite as a coach.

The key to an arena is to sell out.
When you cap it at 9500, you can sell out every seat.
Couple that with improved coaching and especially recruiting, and you get a winning combination.
Pearl has used the new arena to maximum effect.
So I think it is Pearl and arena creating a synergy that I’ve not seen at Auburn.
I look for all live sports venues to reduce capacity and increase amenities.
The next generation of fans will demand improvements in seating and amenities. Chair seating with cup holders, better WiFi, better food and beverage options. Better egress.
Bleacher seating is out. Random cheap hot dogs and popcorn will be replaced by craft beer and higher end food options.
The time it takes to attend a live sports event is more than just the 3 to 5 hours of the game. People value their time more than anything. All venues will need to step up the game day experience.

Simple solution.
He just needs to stay as far away from YOU as possible.

Reading this made my skin crawl.
We'll the good news is there are not nearly as many BoT living vicariously through the success of the basketball teams as those associated with the football program.
I hopefully assume that "they" are just happy with winning without meddling in the program.

I had concerns after the Final 4 run whether that could happen at Auburn again. Clearly it can. Maybe this year. If he can sustain success money at Auburn in not an issue, why leave?

Curious, do you not follow basketball or are you just so mad that you have to be the contrarian no matter what is said?

Auburn intentionally built a small arena so it would be compact. It’s proved to be our “12th man”. I would be curious if UGA, Bama or other schools would want to follow suit.
People would be surprised at the operating costs of the older larger arenas in regard to maintaining inefficient heating and cooling systems that condition voluminous amounts of air, mold & moisture infiltration and upgrading facilities to meet ADA requirements. The "tradition" surrounding some of these older arenas make them white elephants.
It wouldn't surprise me if the AU new arena was cheaper to build and then operate even if not one single ticket was sold to a BB game vs. the operating budget of Beard-Eaves (not to mention the value of the real-estate swap for the diminishing amount of buildable land within the perimeter of AU campus).
There is no doubt in my mind that other schools are looking at the new AU Arena as a model and are running the numbers.

I would love for UGA to build a 9 or 10 thousand seat bball arena, and have it where all the stands are super close to the floor and made with acoustics that amplify the crowd noise.
Create a great experience for the fans. Probably never happen though.

And Pearl is a REALLY good coach, to just had to make sure he walks the straight and narrow pertaining to running a clean program.

Let's see. Coach in the prime of his career who built a killer program out of what was a complete shambles. Not only that, but Auburn plucked him out of basketball exile and backed him to the hilt.
He's done all the hard work. Now he gets to keep a top five program humming. Why would he want to start all over again.
Sour grapes among some of you is just crazy.

There really isn’t a reason every SEC school shouldn’t have a badass arena. It doesn’t translate into wins straight out, but it is an incredible asset when you are good.

I didn’t think he would leave. I just thought the NCAA would step in again.
