I remember one year at Arkansas, Houston Nutt complained about having to play tough competition from the East and not being able to play Vanderbilt.

That really has nothing to do with it seeing as LSU and Florida aren't currently rivals. Hell, Tulane even made it to the Rose Bowl back in the day.
But Florida can just say the word...
...and end up going from the SEC to CUSA to the Big East too.

Well there you have it, most LSU fans like playing Florida, that also explains why us "negatigers" have a differing opinion and want to win championships while ya'll want to play Florida.

I dislike the man....but it's only because that sumbitch cost us at least 1 NC and possibly 2.
Couldn't care less about him being at Bama otherwise. It would have been better for him to go ANYwhere but there though.

A lot of the hate has to do with Saban taking credit for all of LSU's success 3 years after he was gone.

Maybe not publicly, but an LSU Associate Athletic Director mentioned on radio last year, that there were some in the Fla Ath Dept that felt the same of the series scheduling unfairness.
And it wasn't former Gator Hoopster Nunez(spelling)?
Are you saying Jeremy Foley, or current UF AD, is on record as to wanting the series if it could be ended as permanent?

1. Not a real rivlary
2. The loser is usually out of the SEC race.
3. MOSTLY because the pukes in the SEC office make it as easy for bama as possible by making these two teams play each other every year.
