They were in Hoover for the national select tournament. Hoover did make it to the finals, but they blew a big lead and lost to a team from South Carolina.

Then all the butthurt people from the towns with schools we demolish on a regular basis start crying about how we recruited him. Anytime a family moves to Hoover with a child that just happens to be an excellent athlete, especially in football, people cry made up stories about them being recruited.
Hoover will win just fine without this kid. Easier to save the headache

When it comes to football, I swear Hoover fans sound like Alabama fans. "They accuse us of cheating Pawl, but they just mad that their teams can't hang!!" There is a certain level of arrogance there and just like Alabama, it's earned on the field.

Hoover would've been better off with him, I can assure you that. It doesn't mean Hoover won't win the usual 13-15 games this year, but he has a cannon and puts Thompson in a position to compete, which is something they haven't experienced in at least a decade. Hopefully it will make the road to the Super 7 more interesting.

Most likely you will, but Niblett's teams at times have struggled to score. Defenses have been awesome, though. Propst's teams never struggled to score in the way Niblett's do at times.

Correct. They won the USA 7-on-7 title.

Well Propst ran an air raid he learned directly from Hal Mumme

Propst also had more than one defense that was absolutely LOADED with multiple big time P5 prospects. Had a few with multiple NFL players, if you count guys that made practice squads.

Yep, he was the first guy in the Birmingham area, maybe the state, to really implement that offense, which has become a lot more common now. I went to a rival school and my senior year was Propst's first year at Hoover. I loved watching that guy. He's over the top, but I love the intensity that he coached with.

I remember when my HS played Hoover in the state title game in 02. They beat the brakes off us, (Jeff Davis)39-29, the score looks close but they put up 19 in the first half to our 7 then scored the first 2 tds of the 2nd half

Once, 10 years ago. And y'all couldn't even handle our lil bro Spain Park after that

Congrats on your lifelong memory of beating Hoover once by a couple points.
Cherish it, not many people know that feeling

Thompson almost beat Hoover in 7 on 7 twice in the last month. Don't act like Hoover is miles ahead going into this season.

Thompson has not made the playoffs or had a winning season since 2006. To even mention them in the same breath as Hoover is laughable. Thompson will get there eventually because of Mark Freeman. But they have to prove it first
