UF and A&M were both ranked in the top 20 at the time of our game.

Just aTm.

And the committee is probably doing their own rankings each week and basing it off that anyway.

What we've learned is they aren't going to use any eye test bullshite. It's going to be about resume: who you beat, who you lost to, and where you played.

Have to disagree. LSU lost to the #1 & #4 teams and beat the #3. That's a pretty good resume to be at least in the top 15. But we aren't, because we have zero passing game and we thus easily fail the eye test.

Pretty sure UF was 4-0 and ranked as well.

2-0

I stand corrected. May not have been ranked.

False. We aren't in the top 15 because we lost to Auburn by 5 touchdowns.

And we don't deserve to be in the top 15.

I believe Mississippi State is the only SEC team that will make the playoff. Regardless of how things turn out, it's going to be an interesting November for college football.

If Ole Miss wins out they go to Atlanta. Let's say they win the game and end up 12-1. Alabama wins out, beating two of the teams on that Top 4 list tonight , not to mention beating the team that beat Ole Miss and doing it on the road finishing at 11-1.

Only one SEC team is going, no matter what, watch and see. If Oregon runs the table they are in, and no way they should be ahead of Alabama but they will be. FSU is in, they should run the table and that leaves one slot. Which will go to either the Big 10, Big 12 or Notre Dame.

You obviously won't get it. 5th in own division, over ranked nationally. Pretty simple.

So if both of LSU's losses are to the big 4 and the big 4's 3 losses are to each other, does that mean there's still a way for the 5 of them to end up with 2 losses each? I don't know how the remaining games fall out. I know you could find a way if you started from scratch. A 5 team round robin is 10 games.

That would be awesome, 5 West teams with 2 losses, all to each other.

This is exactly where each team should be ranked at this point. Kudos to the committee. Anyone that says otherwise is being biased. Jmho

Your actually getting a boat load of credit for your win and your losses. If you didn't get completely blown off the field in both your losses - you would probably be in top 10. I know you made the Miss St game close in the end but it was pretty ugly. The good thing for LSU - win out - you still have a chance. You still get the #6 and #4 teams and will get credit for being young and improving. Glad AU played you early.

My only gripe was Oregon being ranked over Bama. Bama loses by a touchdown on the road to what the committee deems a top 4 team and Oregon loses at home to Arizona. TCU and Alabama should be ranked ahead of Oregon IMO.

I'm not sweating the ranking in October because it will all work itself out, I just wonder about their logic behind ranking Oregon where they did of for no other reason than to better their chance at getting in.

Imagine TCU, FSU, Georgia, Oregon win out. MSU only loss comes to georgia in the SECCG...MSU gets to watch the playoffs on TV with wins over LSU, auburn, Bama, and ole miss on their resume. My beef is where they have Oregon, they basically said we aren't going to put in two sec teams if we can help it.

There may be a slim chance of this happening but I think there's a much better chance for MSU finishing the season with one or less losses. And don't forget about Georgia and the possibility for them finishing with 2 or less losses. It's going to get really interesting.

I could see that.

Oregon does have 2 wins better than either of Alabama's. It's not all about who you lose to. It's who you beat, too.

I like TCU a lot, though.

Oregon has beat nobody.

Because Mich. St. has beat nobody.

Oregon with a 29th ranked schedule shouldn't be ahead of Bama with a 6th ranked SOS.

Too bad we had to place the ranking in biased people's hands.

This is a sham.

No one will ever convince me that 2 or 3 polls full of unbiased people ( with no affiliation with the colleges) and a computer based system isn't better that a small group of talking heads with attachments to the universities. These talking heads will be swapping votes for favors with the amount of money at stake.

When someone goes off on a few of the biased jerks they going to have to change the system.

Not having to show who you voted for was a big thing in yje polls so they started revealing their final voted ( coaches ) so why in the hell are we going to let these clowns vote in private?

Horseshyt.

Just like I said it would be a year ago.

When you have 250 people and an unbiased computer ranking vs 12 freaking talking heads voting in private you have a BS cluster frick.

Nonsensical.

After seeing what they did tonight, I believe that the SEC has a great shot at getting 2 teams.

No. This playoff was created to give other conferences a chance at the title not give the sec more of a chance. There is no way an sec team without an sec title gets ij over another p5 conf champ with the same record. It just won't happen. They ranked all the sec teams so high this week because they know all those teams still have to play each other
